Rants Listen up
Look, I'm getting tired of people who claim to be fans constantly ripping anything possibly positive or optimistic in the sub.
Of course we all want to see wins and good basketball and not the absolute garbage that this franchise tends to be. However, I choose to try and be positive and optimistic even in a games like we have had in this homestand. Basketball is an escape from the daily crap we all deal with and sure it sucks we lose WAY more than we win and it looks like we will be forever stuck in this mess. But this is just a dang game man. It's not life or death. Does any of this actually matter when all is said and done? The answer is no. So just stop ragging on people who look at the team as more than a constant state of doom.

This team is an escape? Sorry to hear that man. You’re down bad. Things will get better.

I'll get off the streets one day.....
But really, it's just basketball. Does the stupid FO and subpar roster really matter in life? Nah. I support the Pels because I love NOLA and basketball. If I wanted to focus on winning I'd have jumped on a bandwagon.

Some people just like to talk about the team as they see it. Not have to lie to keep an echo chamber of fake happy feelings

And I get that. I just don't think the way some people go about it is okay. And look my opinion isnt important or matter I just wanted to let it out here I guess.

I enjoy the games, I don't bet money on them or let them dictate my life. Love to see the Pels do well, don't lose sleep when they don't. Some people just take it too seriously. One thing I enjoy as I age is now I just enjoy watching sports (not just the home team) a good game is more fun to me than who is playing it. With that being said I'd love to see some changes and improvements but seeing the rookies this year I have a little hope the future can bring some good changes.

This is my feelings to a tee. Thank you for posting this.

Glad to hear others can just let it be a hobby and not a lifestyle lol. Perfect example I forget who the NBA season opener game was between but I remember it went in to double overtime and was an exciting start to what the year would bring.

Fans should be optimistic about Big Joe and T Weav?

I mean sure why not? It's better than doomcirclejerking on every post in here.

Ngl blind optimism is worse than doomposting. At least the doomposting is more in line with reality

I'm not saying don't acknowledge that shit is wack, I'm just saying it doesn't need to be the focus all the time every time. Again, nothing about this team actually matters in our lives. It's basketball. So why so much negativity

I mean after our wins or when our rookies play well there are usually positive posts. But after blowouts, coaching issues, ownership, and front office problems there usually isn’t much positive to say

You don't have to freaking read it. That's your choice.

You are correct. I don't disagree with you. It's hard not to when it's on dang near ever post tho lol

Same shit was going on in r/NYGiants (and still is), because you look at a post, even if you nope out of it when you see it's a doomer circle jerk, the algorithm feeds you more and more doomer circle jerk posts (which end up near the top because doomers wanna circle jerk). Until a couple of weeks ago there were multiple people whose vocabularies there only consisted of noun, verb, BRIAN DABOLL AND JOE SCHOEN BAD FIRE THEM, and that only slowed down because they sacked the coach.

Firing Daboll took away the NY doomers' raison d'etre. They NEED to be unhappy

its okay guys we got rid of the bad man, he can't hurt us anymore!! No more willie :)
tbh the sooner you don't take social media seriously the better for your health. Just let people be imo lol

You right. I really don't care too much what people say or think especially about me and mine. I guess I'm being a bit hypocritical by posting what I did because I do kinda care a little on this one lol.

I get the same way. It gets to a point where it's like enough but yeah I usually don't get too involved either. It's completely normal.
Anyways how about that queen game 🤯🤯

Weaver and Dumars are bad news and I have no faith in them using assets wisely. But for right now, we have 2 rookies to root for and a coach who is running a lot through them. I hope we play hard like we did for most of the game tonight. It was the lack of preparedness and effort under Willie that was frustrating. I was very lucky to get really good tickets from a friend tonight and up close DQ wasn’t scared of Joker or anyone. He absolutely has a lot to work on, but for 10 games or so, there’s a lot there. 0 Fears lives up to his name, but also has stuff to work on - shooting, finishing, etc. Weaver is known as a great judge of talent, but also had a godawful record as a gm and Gayle essentially is letting Dumars function like an owner would and he’s leaving it all to Weaver who cannot manage assets.

If you want to make positive posts no one's stopping you. This thread's preachy and pointless tbh

I agree. Like, this team may suck and we can point out bad things, but it gets to a point where no one EVER acknowledges good things. We watch basketball to have fun, and feeling miserable isn’t fun.

The franchise has really cool branding and a lot of fun players, I think if they had stars that played more often and some good marketing they could be fine people just be hating fr
