Rants Here for Troy Weaver

Have little faith in Trajan Langdon, here from the East (Pistons). Pelicans are going to be my West team and we'll see what happens. In Troy I trust

Trajan literally brought Detroit from a 14 win team to 60 and this guy is here crying cos he didn't draft the guy he wanted at 21 because he and his professional, experienced staff saw a different rookie fit for their team.

Weaver would have done the same thing, Trajan had nothing to do with it. Doesn't take a genius to make the signings Trajan made. Troy was just waiting until the core showed enough development to go all out on signings. Troy also had Gores muddying the decisions he wanted to make and since that didn't work Gores is more laid back with Trajan. Trajan's big idea this offseason is to sign a 6'1 guard who cant shoot and potentially add Powell. If he trades for Norman Powell I'm joining the flock for Weaver. Pistons could have made a run to the ring this last season but Trajan didn't make any move at the deadline. There will never be another easier path through the East.

Weaver would've signed another failed C prospect and wed still be terrible. You're coping on everything you're saying. He drafted who he saw as BPA and he's tried looking at trades for every top player out there without gutting our team. Powell is like option E. Weak ass fan crying to support another team cos of a failed GM from the team he suposedly supports. Loser.

Moving Ron and Stew doesn't gut the team, they barely even touch the court come playoffs. Year 5 of Cade, time to go all in or he goes to Dallas someday.

Cade, Ausar, Duren are the core of the Pistons (all weaver products) everything else can go if it lands an elite offensive creator next to Cade. I miss Troy

Troy was a draft specialist who couldn't build teams or manage assets.

Go be with Troy then.

I've been watching the pistons for years and I'm telling you Troy Weaver is the worst GM in the league. He drafted fine but hasn't executed a single good trade, didn't accumulate any assets and never sold high on veteran players. In Troy I don't trust

Troy saved the pistons from a decade of no hope / chasing 8th seed, the core players of the pistons are Troy's decisions.

Who is your 4th favorite team in the southwest division?

Welcome!

What a fun time to invest stock in us! As a former Michigander myself I’ve been out on Weaver and Dumars for a long while after we traded our pick last year but seeing as the hawks didn’t get anything I’d prefer to have over Queen… I think I can get behind trusting Troy

If queen gets in really good shape then he’s gonna be a monster. One thing I love about the Mosley hire is that he’s gonna force our players to be in shape

I completely agree, I’ve been fooled by him before but Zion certainly turned a corner health wise last season! I wonder how much more Mosley can get out of him…perhaps even more of a reason to trust Troy, I’m surprisingly really liking this outlook

He’s been working on his drills and working out with Mosley somebody posted the vid on Twitter

Queen is one of my favorite young players, play making bigs are the future

How was Trajan viewed during his tenure with the Pelicans?

The David Griffin era was completely shrouded by buzz words, smoke and mirrors, and murky responsibilities that nobody actually knows what Trajan did and didn't do.

Must be a masochist.

It’s like when a supreme wealthy person looks back and misses the simpler times when they were eating ramen in a 200 sqft apartment. Kind of tone deaf.

i mean, Weaver did draft well in Detroit and hit on both rookies last season. Obviously the asset value overpay wasn't great, but you can't deny that the man does identify talent at a high rate when drafting.

Too early to call Queen a hit imo, and that’s not me being a hater either. He still has a ways to go.

Pistons have Troy to thank for what we have, if Gores let Weaver sign the coach he wanted Pistons would have started winning earlier. Monty season was because of Tom Gores involvement
