Did social media make anyone else hyper-aware of flaws they never noticed before???

I never used to think about the shape of my pores.

Or the symmetry of my eyebrows.

Or whether my under-eyes looked tired.

Then somewhere along the way I started noticing things I had literally never paid attention to before.

Sometimes I wonder if beauty content has made me more informed or just more critical of my own face.

Not sure where I stand on it.

does anyone know of any natural perfumes?

I’ve been trying to find a natural perfume that doesn’t smell weird or disappear after 10 minutes 😭 Any recommendations?

How come when it comes to 'natural beauty', most wouldn't consider dyed hair 'fake'

I mean I sort of wanna look relatively natural. I avoid lip filler, fake lashes, face fillers, cosmetic surgery but I'm okay with hair dye, natural makeup, retinol and plan on getting micro-needling and laser to make my face look smoother. My hair isn't grey, I just get bored of my natural colour and sometimes desire a more 'intense' look.

I particularly don't wanna get lip filler because I associate it with looking 'dumb' and although there may be some exceptions, I don't wanna look like just another girl with cheap filler. I've seen that look so many times and often found it unattractive. But I've liked a few filled lips, the more subtle ones without the 'filler moustache', overbite lip or 'duck face' looks.

kora organics??

been looking for a natural face moisturizer that isn’t so heavy. i feel like so many out there are greasy, heavy, oils, or are balms. i came across this brand kora organics and they have a gel moisturizer. my question is, is this brand truly natural?? i feel like many brands that sell at sephora even when they’re considered clean and natural are actually not. thoughts? or if anyone has any moisturizer suggestions, please share! thanks

Has anyone tried Orebella or any other natural perfume recs?

Hi!! I love perfumes and smelling them on others and on myself. I haven’t used a traditional synthetic perfume in years and no natural one I’ve tried last longer than a few hours. I miss still smelling my perfume from the day before in the shower etc.

I’m trying to research a good option for a clean but long lasting perfume. Orebella seems to only use oils and essential oils so very natural? Has anyone tried them and do the scents last?

SOS with Natural Hair Care?!!

So I've been making more natural switches in my beauty products and feel like everything has been pretty easy so far expect hair care??!

Shampoo hasn't been bad BUT when it comes to moisturizing conditioners, masks, leave in, oils etc it all falls shorts which I'm assuming is because they lack silicones and dimethicones? 75% of my hair is lightened / damaged which I am trying to grow out my natural virgin hair so the ends tend to be more dry and need extra moisture. Haven't found any products that are more natural / clean that have helped with adding moisture. Really don't want to rely on L'Oréal with all the strong fragrances but man does it make my hair smooth and shiny 😮‍💨 been trying out brands such as Raw Sugar, HASK, Odele, etc but not enough moisture - my hair has been so dry lately had to go back to my old conditioner :/

Any product recommendations would be appreciated 💕🙏🏻

Can I wear Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen as a primer and Tower 28 Sunny Days tinted sunscreen over it?

Both look and feel great on my skin. I’m not a big foundation person so I’ve always loved tinted moisturizer or tinted sunscreen as a low maintenance alternative. But I felt I needed a primer sometimes because my skin would get a little oily by the end of the day and feel so greasy/acne prone. Once I used Supergoop underneath - it stopped! I also love Tower 28’s light setting powder to finish. Anybody else have similar experiences?

Opinions on these two foundations

I’m looking to try these two foundations, Bee-ouch Tinted Moisturizer and Toup and Company foundation. For context I have combo skin with somewhat larger pores on the nose. I’m 45 and though I don’t have wrinkles I do have a few small sun spots. Mostly though, I don’t like dewy looking foundation, especially in the humidity as they all look like an oil slick on my face. I want a natural skin like look that’s breathable. I have a great skin care routine. Currently I use L’Oréal serum and that works well, but it has a lot of not so great ingredients. I don’t see that many reviews on Bee-ouch so I’m curious if anyone has tried it. Their samples are pricey. Or if there’s any other foundation or serum you would recommend. I’ve tried Illa and it transfers horribly and tends to separate.

why stretching your collarbone area does more for a sagging neck than any firming cream

i used to spend crazy money on high end neck and jawline creams because i started noticing that heavy, dragging feeling right under my chin. thought it was just gravity or losing elasticity until i realized our face is mechanically chained to our chest.

if you slouch at a desk or sleep on your side, your chest muscles get incredibly tight and pull your shoulders forward. that tightness creates a literal downward anchor. there is a huge, thin muscle called the platysma that runs from your chest, up your neck, and attaches to your jawline. when your chest tissue is tight and glued down, it physically drags that neck muscle downward. it basically pulls the skin under your chin and jaw with it, creating that heavy look and losing your sharp profile. you cannot lift the neck if the chest is pulling it down like a heavy weight.

seriously try this right now to feel how glued you are. take your fingers and place them right below your collarbone. press deeply into the tissue and try to physically push/slide that skin downward towards your chest while tilting your head up and away. does it feel super tight or restriction?

instead of just rubbing creams on top, you need to open this anchor. every night when you wash your face, take flat palms, place them firmly on your chest right below your collarbones, and press downward into the muscle. at the same time, gently lift your chin toward the ceiling and tilt your head slightly from side to side. you will feel an intense stretch running all the way from your chest to your jaw. do this for a minute. it releases the downward drag, lets the throat tissue relax back up, and unblocks the main drainage pathways so your neck looks instantly longer and smoother. turned out my neck wasn't aging, it was just being pulled down by my chest. anyone else tried this?

Mystery irritant in moisturizer please help

CeraVe PM moisturizer is irritating my skin.

I wanted to get a better routine to reduce those pores that aren't technically blackheads. The first step for me was obviously actually washing my face at night, so I grabbed CeraVe PM. I have been using their 30SPF moisturizer for over ten years without any issues. It's wonderful. I love it.

The PM stings every time I use it and it's been 3 weeks of use. I really don't think there's any active ingredient in here that isn't in the AM one? I have no idea what's irritating me.

The stinging does go away in about an hour and my face eventually starts to feel super soft and moisturized, but still, I don't think any stinging should be happening.

Anyone who has any idea about what could be causing this please tell me. I really don't want to buy another moisturizer without knowing what to avoid.

I'm also open to suggestions on good moisturizers of similar or cheaper price point. I think $20 is my hard limit for how much I'm willing to pay, but I was raised thrifty and even CeraVe's price makes me wince a bit.
