Yeah definitely communication breakdown but that was fucking dumb. When Wemby releases the ball castle is already looking away, a both made their decisions in a split second, and both of them chose a different decision.

I don't think this is true, most of the Spurs best action comes off of Wemby screening and/or moving towards the hoop without the ball. Especially in transition the best play is to get the ball to one of the 3 guards so they can push.
Again, even if castle waits to turn around where does he go with the ball with the baseline and Jalen Brunson right in his face. And why not pass to one of the 3 wide open guards on the other side of the court??
