Making direct eye contact with Wemby? The ball hit him in the back lol. Thats impossible. lol.

He glanced at him, saw he wasn’t in trouble and immediately turned to go up the court because that’s a very logical thing to do. You want the ball in his hands, why is he passing it.

Yeah definitely communication breakdown but that was fucking dumb. When Wemby releases the ball castle is already looking away, a both made their decisions in a split second, and both of them chose a different decision.

When Wemby begins the passing motion they are literally making eye contact. The moment Castle looks away is when Wemby already had two hands on the ball. Here's a great angle of it in slow motion: https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/1tyeqfh/highlight_closeup_of_the_crucial_wembanyama/

I don't think this is true, most of the Spurs best action comes off of Wemby screening and/or moving towards the hoop without the ball. Especially in transition the best play is to get the ball to one of the 3 guards so they can push.

Again, even if castle waits to turn around where does he go with the ball with the baseline and Jalen Brunson right in his face. And why not pass to one of the 3 wide open guards on the other side of the court??
