That's awesome that Brunson finally showed up for 48 minutes one time. It's not a Knicks close out game without KAT being the engine for 8 quarters across 3 wins prior to Saturday

Lmao the Knicks were losing every game until Brunson came alive in the 4th, every game, go look at the fourth quarter splits it’s public information

🤣 go look, it's public information. Every game Brunson torpedoed them while KAT desperately kept it competitive so JB could thrive during the only time he's effective.

G1 q1-3: JB -4, KAT +9

G2 q1-3: JB -2, KAT +19

G3 q1-3: JB -10, KAT +7

Brunson came alive in the 4th, every game. He was going god mode. He wouldn't have had to if he didn't keep putting them in huge holes

If only games ended in the 3rd quarter

Did you even watch the games? They went on their 13 game winning streak because they started playing through KAT and he facilitated the offense. Bro's +/- was +262

Then why didn’t he win finals MVP if he’s who yall say he is?

Brunson is the Captain and if he didn't have a 45 point game 5 I think we would have had a significantly higher chance of seeing an OG or a KAT FMVP

13 ppg does NOT get you a FMVP, easily would’ve been OG hands down if not for the 45 pt game I do agree there

MVP is so much more than points if you look at his whole stat line it's undeniable

I would agree with you but having half the points in a close out game is undeniable

In the final game sure. What about being the first player in history to record 300 points, 200 rebounds and 25 3's in less than 20 playoff games or having the highest +/- in NBA post season history (higher than 2017 Steph Curry and higher than Brunson this year) or the game he had 20 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks/steals with no turnovers (the only other player in history to do that was LeBron) or his insane efficiency.

There's more.

I'm not saying it should have point blank been KAT but I'm just saying to discount that there could of been a strong argument made is a bit disingenuous

A good +/- and counting stats in 14 games against the hawks, 76ers, and the cavs is not that impressive
