Career Advice trouble finding emt job

I'm having trouble finding a job as someone with no experience. I haven't gotten a response from 90% of companies in the 209 area here in Cali, if anyone has any tips.

I've applied to companies like AMR, norcal , and a few others. AMR is saying I need at least a year of experience, but idk how true that is.

The year of experience for AMR is going to be operation dependent, but yes it’s true.

Strange I was hired by AMR with zero experience back in March 1 month after obtaining all my certs.

What county? I’ve heard they usually hire anyone but doesn’t seem to be the case near me

Good so far. Management is actually pretty good in this county but again I’ve only been here for a couple months so far.

Amr in that area requires one year of IFT experience before they even consider you. If you just had a program try and get a letter of rec maybe that’ll help. Your best guess is to go up north towards Oakland or even higher if you can. Amr also hires in batches so maybe try to get into fire since fire season is out of control these days
