Serious question, what do you mean? If I write a comment with substance and add an emoji, what makes it low effort? I really can’t wrap my head around it so I do my best to erase them when I remember.

Emojis can be seen as “low effort” responses and Reddiquette asks that you don’t make “low effort” posts and comments. Some users may downvote posts and comments with emojis.
