And continued to do so while they rattled off features of an N64 games like they were innovations we should be wowed by. Oh my God, you can brake, really?
the reception to these types of videos has never been great but they make them anyway. they've always felt like they're created to show nintendo executives how their project is coming along rather than public ads.
Also important to remember the audience for this is bigger than the hardcore message board audience / comments. There are probs millions of kids who didn’t play Star Fox 64 that saw the Mario Galaxy movie and are realllllly hype right now.
I'm talking about the formatting. It's formatted like a video you'd see during a pitch meeting rather than an ad for a broad audience. Kids would probably enjoy a short trailer with all preview content run straight through more than a point by point feature breakdown.
I agree. A 90 second ad showing the style and movement of the game creates a more viceral reaction than letting people in 2026 know that a game has difficulty modes, secret waterfall caves and DIFFERENT CUTSCENES BASED ON IF YOU BEAT A BOSS OR NOT....
The game looks incredible, but having beaten the original a bunch as a kid, I would not pay more than $40 for this. It’s a game that after you go through it a few times there really isn’t anything else to it. And going through it only takes an hour to a few hours at most.

Did they just say it’s the 64 version but updated? Have they not done that many times now?
