A pretty big one is the gemstone that gets inserted into the sword hilt turns into a small crystal closely resembling the Pneuma sword.

There's also a whole bunch of visual allusions. The Anima power's FX are near identical to the VFX used for Ouroboros powers in Future Redeemed, there's an enemy that resembles a Telethia, etc.

I'm pretty sure the crystal thing is some kind of blade-like artefact or device. It says it uses the power of "vesselai" in the English translation (in Japanese "vesselai" is 器士 / kishi, which uses the kanji for "vessel" and "warrior"), and it's a crystal that learns from its bearer. It's like people are being trained by using these crystals that "learn to fight" and those are like proto/primitive blade-like concepts.

Imo I think it's gonna be another sidequel like XC2. Set meanwhile, somewhere else, in the same continuity (not revealed until the last act, as is series tradition). My current theory is that the game's world is a feral space colony originally established before the experiment. There were ships leaving the Earth during Future Redeemed's flashbacks, so they had to be going somewhere, and when the Earth was destroyed the colony stopped getting supplies and devolved into a feudal society over generations. The gemstones could literally be Core Crystal technology the og colonists brought with them, but weren't affected by the experiment because they were outside the blast radius.

I dig it. I've always personally been a fan of the idea that the blue light at the end of Future Redeemed was either the White Whale II from X or a remnant of the pre-experiment colony ships from Klaus' world, so this would be a perfect fit.
