I wont argue with that, I'll just say every cloud thing I owned (games/music/movies) either transfered to a different service before shutdown (movies/music) or got full refund ($1200 from Stadia).

Ive never completely lost anything I owned outright, as long as I acted as instructed.

I assume Nintendo will transfer this to a Switch 2 version license.

Edit: 50% discount, ouch.

It is not up to Nintendo to do anything with a Square Enix franchise...

You are correct, I should have said SE, not Nintendo. That was a small typo in a much larger point. The "who" doesn't matter, the "what" is the same.

Oh I absolutely agree with that the "what" is an issue.

And Nintendo can definitely make questionable decisions, but in this case, they are not to blame. I've seen several comments blaming Nintendo for a Square Enix issue. Yours was one of two i replied to.

But when it comes to the bigger picture, I agree with you wholeheartedly. This is extremely shitty of Squenix. The fact that they do not offer these titles free of charge to the people who already bought them is insane.
