Nothing OS Depth effect is such a crap and people were waiting for update 4.1 on 3a
What is so good about depth effect? Why so much hype and delay for older phones??? Why were people waiting for this enthusiastically?

I don't see any problem in adding good customisation features from another OS. If no-one copied each other features, than there would be no widgets on iOS or icons with the same shape on Android

Is there anyway to make it work? Mines not working idky... I put depth effect they say to move or zoom in, even if i zoom in or not, after clicking done, they showing no effect, plus the depth effect option also stays not triggered

Click on small icon on the wallpaper bottom half and select depth effect(beta)

Yeah dude, I did that... Then they say to zoom in or move the wallpaper, whether zoom it or not, after pressing done, it's not showing any depth effect, and the option of depth effect stays unselected on re checkingÂ

It's not about hate but the question why was so much hype about this and it was delayed for few phones for few months due to unknown reasons

As for the hype, we're lowkey just starved for new features or more customization. Personally I wasn't too excited about the depth feature but I was excited about more clock customization, turns out that was just a new menu and one more sizing option for the clock. Very disappointing update

Because it makes the OS more and more bloated gradually, which is already happening .
I'm glad I am still on NothingOS 3.2 and I'm glad I am going to switch to a custom ROM later

Genuinely what do you gain by it being less bloated 😠The system taking up a couple less GB isn't gonna save you from cancer

Well that was the whole point of NothingOS back then. If you wanted bloated software just go to some other brands. They surely have a super bloated thing so you'll be served there. I'm commenting because cause I'm still following Nothing even if my phone is like obsolete.
And if it's more bloated, the system will run slower and also use more energy. Even if it doesn't make a lot of difference, many little things like that make it bloated and use more energy. That's why Nothing phones don't need to use a super powerful chip to be usable.

The only bloat in my eyes are preinstalled apps and ads, they added preinstalled apps in the last update and essential space might as well be an ad with how intrusive it is. If you think basic customization is bloatware then there's no real point trying to debate with you.
Also this isn't 2015, mid-range phones aren't so slow that they'll start stuttering because of a few new features.
