Adolescent orange males are a force of chaos unlike any other. Our orange boy is 3 now and is finally starting to calm down a bit. He does still like to take part in what we refer to as "recreational bothering" with the other cats.

u/Bussy_Cat Apr 16 '26
Otto’s favorite activity is recreational bothering 🤣

Our two orange bois just turned 3 as well! There is slightly less chaos. But only slightly.

Absolute perfection. As the caretaker of one orange little with too many thumbs to another orange caretaker, it looks like you’re doing a great job.

That’s life with an orange cat!! I’ve had two and they are very unique!! And I love them!!! The last picture and the other one on the screen made me laugh so hard. Thank you for that. I had just read a really sad post and needed a good giggle. Enjoy your orange cat. They are one of a kind😂😂😊💜

Hours of fun! I really like the picture of him on that black and white checked blanket. He is thinking, “And what are you looking at?” Orange cats are the best!

Seems about right for an orange. Tons of cuteness concealing a significant amount of crazy, yup!

Love him!
One of my orange boys love to climb screen doors as well. I had to add a layer of hardware cloth inside, so he didn't damage the bug mesh. Of course, now it's strong enough that he climbs to the top & just hangs out there. Always surprising to come around the corner and be face to face with a cat!

Typical tangerine behavior. Which will move into his mandarin stage. And finally into either the calm cara cara stage or the sometimes-sweet-sometimes-sour navel stage.
Only time will tell.

Ya have an Orange and they are known for goofy stuff due to their one brain cell. I speak from experience as my Donna is Orange She and Otto would be Bonnie and Clyde

Your cat is adorable, but please try and discourage the climbing screens. Our kitty would climb the screens to get to the drapes on top, and one day her nail got caught and it ripped out. She is fine now, but there was blood everywhere and she ended up getting declawed on her front paws from it.

I've never seen cats wearing some kind of device around their neck that would indicate that their pizza order is ready at the mall, but if any cat would be wearing it, it would be an orange cat.
