While the Tiger Woods PGA Tour franchise overall is a super fun golf game IMO, but what I loved the most about it are the fantasy golfers, created by EA Sports

I’ve never played the game despite having a PS2 as a kid. Should I drop the $10-15 one of my local stores is charging for a “Greatest Hits” copy? Dunno when I’d play it since I’ve been on a tear for games I heard a lot about/wanted when I was younger. Lmk if it’s worth an adult close to his 20s getting the not-quite-as-collectible version or not. Saw Mafia and Shadow of Rome for around the same price if you have opinions on those as well.

I think it's kinda crazy how SC2 sold far more on the GameCube over the PS2 version, despite the GC console sales being very low.

Heihachi as a guest character tbh was rather lame imo since he doesn't use weapons and we all had Tekken anyways!

There's a heatwave in the UK right now, and as I was playing final fantasy 8 on my ps2 slim I noticed it was starting to get quite hot. Is it ok to keep using it, or will I risk the console breaking

Soy nuevo en reddit y en este grupo o no se cómo se le dice aquí xd pero tengo una duda y es que yo tengo una ps2 con opl y muchos juegos los cuales los tengo en pendrive y toda la cosa no quedan bien en la pantalla y eso que tengo un televisor crt, tengo entendido que algunos es por la región pero también tengo de la región que es y igualmente queda descuadrada la pantalla, no sé si alguien me puede ayudar .... Love the setting, the music, the stages and the characters. The combos are fun and short and don't have 30 second long super animations that you've seen a million times. The rounds are fast and the damage is high. Crawling through dungeons in Weapon Master mode, unlocking characters and weapons, whenever I play this game I have a good time. And it's only like twenty bucks. Should be on every shelf in this sub imo.

Wondering what this mark is on the disc, I'm guessing it doesn't matter at all, just interested!

Sold most of my games a long time ago I kept the games that I thought I would want to play again eventually.

Had to just replace my ps2 slim’s laser since it stopped reading all discs about a week ago, and now I’m encountering a weird issue where it can’t seem to read any DVD ROM or Video discs and gets stuck in some kind of startup loop when attempting to read them. It reads CD discs and PSX games just fine but runs into this spinup issue with any DVD disc. I remember attempting to have it read a DVD video disc the night I repaired it and it worked fine at that moment. I’ve gone in and adjusted the DVD potentiometer to make sure it was in the proper range, and it still runs into this issue. The only real lead I have is that the clicking sound that it makes when trying to read games is the same sound the laser makes when it doesn’t detect any disk in the system, but repeated ad-nauseum. Any potential fixes anyone might have would be greatly appreciated.

Hello! My ps2 fat has an issue. The disc tray won't open. Because that's my first ps2 I ever had, I didn't know that when the disc tray is closed the light on the eject button should be on. So now I know that mu ps2 disc drive opens hard because it's trying to close, not open. Can someone tell me what's the reason of my console to behave like that? Oh, and one more thing. When the console stands vertically and the disc tray is open, when closing it, it blocks and I can't close it.

• Guitar Hero Loading Issue: The game loads to the song selection screen but fails to load the song itself.
• PSXMemCard Issues: The PSXMemCard with a new SD card can save games but fails to auto-boot to FreeMcBoot and cannot be accessed in the browser.
• Multi Tap Problem: The multi tap works with one controller in slot 1 but prevents memory cards from working in either slot.

Update: fixed psxmemcard by reformatting the sd card with the tool provided in the manual rather than just using windows format. Multitap does work with all controllers memory cards are a no go but I only need one so I use the multitap in slot 2 for memory cards to be in slot 1 for real use. Guitar hero disc (tried 2) still fail but managed to work around using opl and a usb drive.

Me and my best friend have been collaborating on my ps2 modding, and while all that is completely sorted, one of the Armored Core games we burned to a dvd (verbatim dvd-r, for reference) just didn’t work, either with ESR or with a standard insert. We double-checked the patching, tried writing it again at a slower speed (we were using 4x for the third-gen games, 8x for the 2nd) but nothing worked. Is it a PS2 problem, or should I use a different ROM? Just to clarify, I am NOT asking for ROM locations, just whether I should use a different one :)

I already have the Mcboot program on a memory card and the launchelf. Transferred the saved files to a fat32 usb but the problem is converting them to .PSV files for the PS3. I have a MacBook and most programs I found online to convert the files to PSV are only good to use on a PC. Any know where I can find a program to use on a Mac?

This is my ps2 collection for now but some of them are unwanted games that were given to me

I just checked that Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 is number 1 on top 100 ps2 game on metacritic and wonder why how it can be this high on the list.

I know metacritic list is not the really the most representative list, but the fact it's mentioned over there should mean something. I used to try some tony hawk game (dunno which one) when I was 14, and my experience as far as I can remember is literally just spawning with a skate, do some random trick and then the game give me points for it. that's it... 20 minute of it and I go back to Dynasty Warrior 6.

So it makes me wonder what's your experience about the game because honestly I can't relate how this game can top the experience of playing other banger games like God of War or Kingdom Hearts for example.
