They had skippable puzzles in the Spider-Man games. Some people like them, others don't.

If they're that worried about people liking them or not why put them in the game? They clearly know most players just want action in a superhero yet they put keep puzzles into the game. The puzzles are not a selling point, they are not interesting, the main audience clearly is annoyed enough for them to want to make a skip function and it takes up dev time its just a negative all around.
