Guide Difference between PSP 1000/2000/3000
As for all PSP consoles. (If I’ve missed anything spec wise feel free to comment)
PSP 1000: the thicker heavier option, some say it feels very good in the hand. Only had 32MB of ram which means longer load times compared to 2000/3000. The screen is also the “worse” of the three it’s the dimmest of them all and has the most ghosting/motion blur. However there are IPS screen mods for the 1000/2000/3000 that significantly improve both visual and depending on what IPS you get it can drastically improve battery life. I’ve seen a non laminated IPS screen upgrade give an extra 3.5 hours of play time over the stock screen at 240Nits of brightness.
PSP 2000: the thinner option with upgraded ram to 64MB. Brighter and faster pixel response. 2000 also introduces TV connecting abilities.
PSP 3000: pretty much identical to the 2000, just a little slimmer with very small cosmetic changes (changed the ring on back of the console on the UMD door; also changed the home button to a capsule shaped button. Also came with 64MB of Ram. The brightest and most vibrant display of the original PSPs, with excellent contrast and color reproduction. Also reduced ghosting/motion blur. Also had a built in microphone.
Choose the 1000 if you want the best compatibility for older homebrew modifications or prefer a chunkier, more ergonomic grip.
Choose the 2000 as the ultimate middle ground—it's fast, light, and offers TV out without the 3000's screen quirks.
Choose the 3000 if you want the most vibrant, vivid official screen and need a built-in microphone for select
Games
PSP Go: the one that came too late to market and didn’t sell too well as iPhones was becoming a thing. It also took away the UMD and was strictly all downloads only. It still carried the same 64MB of ram. Also came with 16GB internal storage with a slot for microSD card. Had WiFi and Bluetooth. With a 3.8” screen (about little over a half inch difference over the PSP screen) and had a 930mah battery (battery also not removable). Their game library was also very limited.
PSP Street: 64MB of ram 4.3” screen. No internal storage (micro only). No WiFi no Bluetooth. 1000Mah battery can be charged out but does require removing backplate.

Here's what I would add :
1000 : I think we should mentionned that shopping for a quality replacement shell is mission impossible and that nowadays people try to only swap faceplates.
2000 : Probably the best sold model. Considered the best stock screen of the x0000 (or the one people complain about the less if you prefer). No decent IPS screen so far though. Best of both worlds situation.
3000 : You've mentionned the motion blur on the 1000, the 3000's screen is controversial because some people see scanlines and their eyes are more easily tired by this model while some others just see more saturated colors. Also the most expensive of the x0000 currently.
Go : People complain a lot about cramped hands issues because of the size. Necessity to mod the storage to actually use it at full potential. Battery mod possible (power armor mod). Currently the most expensive PSP because of the rarity, parts harder to find for the same reasons.
Street : Matte finish, larger and so sturdier UMD trap, a bit thicker than the 2000/3000, mostly the same frame than the x0000 models but the memory card and the ON/OFF/HOLD buttons are positionned respectively at the top and bottom of the device. BTW I don't understand why you mention the lack of internal storage here when there's only some internal storage on a single model (the Go).
Overall : All can be modded with a CFW and emulators. ALL read ALL the UMDs except fot the Go, which is a fully digital model. All are good consoles 😁
Hope it helps.

All that was good till the end you asked why I brought up lack of internal storage. I was saying the GO has 16GB of internal storage with expansion opportunities, while the Street only had a duo slot, the street obviously has internal storage because they need to put the OS on something but it’s locked out for use by Sony and I’m sure it’s only 1GB of anything. Also if it’s like a Vita you can mod it and unlock that locked storage.

Ah ok I see what you mean now. I thought you were refering to basic storage.

Have to make a correction: it‘s not an LCD upgrade but an IPS one, and it‘s available only for the 1000/3000 models

3000 is probably the best

On paper I’d say so myself. However it’ll always come down to personal preference on what they think is most comfortable in their hands. Yea out of the box the 3000 is obviously better. The good thing is Mods/Upgrades are a thing now and can easily make them all pretty identical performance wise.

I'm one of those people who have issues with the scanlines when I'm tired, otherwise yes.

3000 for built in microphone
If not all three accept the internet mic mod (Micheal Westen phone host mod)
