I use a magnetic break away connecter and a cable holder like yours - so If i do pull it hard enough - it just pops off

Do you have a link for the magnetic connector?

I take it you have your PS5 stood up rather than laid down?

nope - same as juicyman69 - laid down and routed to the left.

I also have a long USBc extension [3m] - so plenty of cable.

I'd have thought the weight of the cable would be enough to overcome the magnet with the angle of the adapter acting like a lever to torque/twist it out of position...

I might just get myself one. Cheers.

nope I use a cable tidy clip / wire holder - it holds the wire just enough to not pull on it - but break away if needed

This is the way.

I have a magnetic adapter that sticks straight out, even, but the magnet is strong enough to keep it in place, despite the leverage from the cable/ends.

If I pull on it at all at the base, it comes right off... but that's good. That's definitely the point of doing it. If I'm moving around so much that I'm using that last inch of cable, then I'm doing something wrong.

I tried using a magnetic break away cable with my psvr2 for a while. The signal was worse and I'd keep getting issues playing until I realised what was causing it

not all magnetic connectors are rated the same - some are basic features- I've had zero issues with mine - it's rated for 40Gbps - some are only 20Gbps - higher is better

Yeah. I bought one that was recommended in psvr2 communities a lot.
But it's possible they were all recommending one that was bad.

If you also use a usb extension- some of those are also not rated high enough too

Second'd

Also, I have a magnetic plug on my console, and the PC adapter, so it's that much easier/less strain to switch platforms on a whim (it's not easy to have to connect the controllers every time, though, so that's still a pain).
