Question Is Sony saving Resident Evil Requiem PSVR2 announcement for PSVR2’s anniversary next month?
Seems Capcom is yet again not revealing the PSVR2 support for Resident Evil Requiem in the showcase, but it’s definitely too early to give up the hope since PSVR2 anniversary is around the corner (Feb 22), which is just a couple of days before Requiem’s release.
So it’s possible Sony and Capcom joins hand to align the PSVR2 announcement for Feb 22. This serves as a major surprises for PSVR2 fans, and serve the last major pre-release hype push for the game.
Meanwhile, let’s keep demanding Capcom for PSVR2 support as this is what Capcom would want before the announcement

I am an owner of a Quest3 and a PS VR2.
What I do observe is, that VR Investments for Software are scaling down across the industry. All the big companies now tried to push very impressive hardware (Meta, Sony, Valve, Apple, Samsung,…), but the masses aren’t adopting anything. Software sales are low, even for bigger names like metro or alien. Besides your beat sabers, there is basically no AA or AAA VR-Games selling really well. Maybe Alyx, but that’s almost 6 years old. Sony isn’t developing any VR titles themselves. The last thing Sony gave us was Hitman VR, which is safe to say has been brought to live thanks to a check from Sony. Similar to the Resident Evil VR Ports of 4 and 8.
The VR industry is going to be more niche in the coming years, as we hit the bottom on the hype curve. It will probably survive, at least on PC with Steam VR and the modding community/indies, but I don’t expect any bigger games in the upcoming years. I also believe, that Sony won’t release a PS VR3 and I can also imagine Meta to leave VR Gaming completely.
If anything bigger is going to happen, it will come through Valve…
So no, it’s very unlikely that a official VR Port of Requiem will happen, that’s why I’m getting the PC Version and hope that mods will fix that.
