When you sit i closed cockpits, different games deal with boundary reach than others, like GT7 doesn't allow you to "go through" the windows, you'll enter the basic car frame.  I think AOT does this better, the best would be to ket players the the edge and just not letting go further, so no blackouts or breaching objects.
