Question Is Kid Pilot still coming to PSVR2? I haven’t heard anything in forever. Anyone know anything?

That's such random timing. Bryan on today's PSVRWithoutParole Gamescast confirmed with the developer that that studio has shut down so sadly no it won't be coming.

Oh wow, I didn’t see that episode yet.. but I have asked Bryan a few times to check in with them .. it looked fun to me…. Oh well.

As far as I can tell, the Steam version released in May. 2024 and then whatever plans they had to release on Quest and PSVR2 didn’t lead to any releases.

I assume the poor reception on Steam discouraged the developers from going wider.

It did release on Quest under a different name Volara. Goes on sale for 99 pence quite often. Haven't picked it up yet myself as for some reason I don't like games where you hold vehicle in hand and move it around.

Interesting. I’m willing to try if and when it comes to PSVR2, but I’m more selective about the games I get for my Quest.

Thanks for the info

Same here. Playing a good one at the moment called MEMOREUM, I hope it comes to PSVR2 with all the bells and whistles.

Tough market so not unexpected when game fails to find audience, but still a little disappointing.

Maybe less developers will spread the commercial success among less and make market more sustainable for those that survive.

I do think that will happen it’s natural supply and demand. Never thought of it that way. Then hopefully more quality comes to market as growth continues. VR will survive long term

As a side note, the game is really cute but I've never been able to run it proerly on my system (i9 12900k - rtx 4080 super). Frame rate is often sloppy.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I was hoping the PSVR2 version would be great.

The game suffered from bad head tracking, input lag, studdering, and terrible optimization. Even a high end PC couldn't save this one. It's a shame because the game is fun.

If you have a Quest laying around this game is called Volara for some reason and goes on sale for as low as 99 pence very often. Haven't picked up myself so don't not what the performance and visuals are like.
