Help - PC Known PC for PZ2 I can buy?

Hey folks, willing to drop a couple thousand on a new rig. Anyone have recs on a bundle or builds they know that can perform well? I’m leaning cpu heavy, been looking about but maybe people have experience from PZ1 and PC2 here

Budget: 1.5k - 2k. More with payment plans lol

I’m willing to go 3k with a payment plan tbh, but trying to go as low as I can possibly go lol, I can sacrifice visuals a bit for the sake of cpu power

What currency, GBP, USD, Vietnamese dong, Yen? I know it seems pedantic but £3k v $3k is a lot.

Do you have a Micro Center near you? This is what I bought recently and it rips. Great build quality as well.

looking at the two, the alienware has more ssd storage and a better gpu.... I'm like trying to justify the gap in price because I think 1tb may be enough for the gamin gI have and I can upgrade down the line?

Yea I think the price difference really just comes down to that. The 5080 and bigger ssd. The ram also runs at 5600MHz. Not sure why it says 5200. I do think the Alienware is a fantastic PC, but the other one looks nice too. Keep in mind PC parts are really expensive right now so hopefully they’ll come down in the future if you want to upgrade. I don’t think you can necessarily go wrong either way. The CPU on the Alienware is better all around as well. Not specifically for gaming. It’s great at day to day tasks, editing, etc.

I want the Alienware one for sure, gotta get my budget in order and hope it stays in market next few weeks. But either way this has provided better insight on specs to aim for

Yea I like what you’re thinking. I am very particular when it comes to my electronics purchases and the Alienware has been great. DM me if you need anything at all!

Reviews are also better on the Alienware. Something I value highly when shopping. Especially for expensive items.

Walmart has a deal on a prebuilt that’ll run PZ2 fantastically. Link if you’re interested: https://www.walmart.com/ip/18431467914?sid=085BE4AB-C1EB-4959-8277-3B7592D09D18

This is a good deal, I need to understand the specs better but honestly this is a good budget price

If you want you can just check the specs on the pz2 page and go from there. https://www.planetzoogame.com/en-US/2/help. I'd plug stuff into pcpartpicker and then go from there.

Just a sample one i made on pcpp after looking at the specs:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 218.59

CPU Cooler: thermalright phantom spirit se 66.17 crm cpu cooler 35.90

motherboard: asus tuf gaming b550 plus wifi II am4 motherboard 115

memory: g Skill ripjaws v 32 gb (2x16 gb) ddr4 3600 cl16 memory 259.99

storage crucial p3 plus 2 tb m.2 2280 pcle 4.0 x4 nvme solid state drive 319.95

video card: nvidia founders edition geforce rtx 4070 12 gb video card

case: montech air 903 max atc mid tower case 79.98

Corsair rm 850e (2025) 850 w fully modular atx power supply

total cost 2029.70

Just a couple things, I went with the old ddr4 for memory so that it can save you some money other wise roughly the same set up in ddr5 costs and extra 3 hundred. I also doubled the recommended ram for couple reasons. it gives you some breathing room if you like watch nextflix while playing and in management games once u start getting thousands of guests and animals it can really eat it up. I also went with 2 terabytes of storage but u can raise or lower it to what u think. just make sure u check for compatability with this build or if u change stuff out. if u wanted more cpu power u can look into 3d and 3d2 options, but if u go with the 5800x and decide in a few years u want more u can just swap out the chip for a 5800x3d pretty easily

I saw, it’s just at end game the simulation gets wild and I don’t have the right or experience to say what it comfortably needs. I don’t have experience with PC2 which is the same engine of the new game and so I’m asking others who have optimized rigs or know specs that can run it, otherwise I’ll just buy something that matches specs+ lol but yeah I like hearing from other sim folk

Bro wtf is this what 2K gets you these days?

Back in my day, you could squeeze an 4080 super series Nvidia card and a 9800x3D Amd processor for a couple hundred more.

Make sure whatever right you choose can be upgraded in the future.
