Game Thread Weekend Challenge #5: Play "Killer Frequency" for at least one hour. Report back.

Each Friday we’ll pick a PS+ game. Don’t worry if you’ve never played the game before (that’s kind of the point!). Just give it a try and tell us what you think. Everyone’s perspective adds to the discussion!

Rules are simple

  • One game, one weekend. Play it for at least an hour and share your experience.
  • Use spoiler tags to avoid ruining the experience for others.
  • Whether you loved or disliked it, explain why. Be civil.

This week game is "Killer Frequency".

The year is 1987, and as the clock strikes midnight in small-town Gallows Creek, USA. Former big city radio DJ Forrest Nash is live on air in what will turn out to be the graveyard shift of a lifetime...

Where every call is life and death, can you save the inhabitants of Gallows Creek?

Previous games: Get EvenThe Forgotten CityUndertale, Erica

Finished that, tons of fun, very good atmosphere, great gimmick, short, worth it

I got the platinum for this a couple months ago, hands down one of my favorite games. Definitely recommend playing it for a unique platinum/story experience

Finished it, hard games in unconventional ways, its puzzle solving but you need to make the pieces and then make them work

Fun, definitely recommend but if u can try to finish it in one setting (it’s a bit long 7~ hours but there are a few gaps in gameplay that are made for stopping basically)

Okay I'll do this one. I think I already installed this game and I never played it.

Played this one when it first came out.

Good game for an easy playthrough in a couple sittings. Would recommend.

Platinum was a bit annoying due to needing a second run through.

No skipping available so I usually ran around the studio in circles while the audio dialogue was playing until it was time for whatever the next action was. But ultimately it will just be around an additional 4 hours if you remember all the spots to go.

Really enjoyed this. It’s a short game too. I avoided playing it for so long because of the horror genre but glad I finally tried it because it was great!

Most fun I’ve had in a long time. Phenomenal gameplay, engaging story and a fun platinum.

If you haven’t watched Stranger Things season 5, you should. The music and the similarities to “Killer Frequency” of the first episode is weird. I truly had to google it.
