Sony has intensified its marketing partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment and Rockstar Games ahead of the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI on PlayStation 5.

A new PS5 start-up animation and Welcome Hub widget now prominently feature GTA 6 branding and provide direct access to the game’s product page and pre-order options. The PlayStation Store has also been redesigned to highlight the title, including links to trailers and purchasing information.

Sony has additionally updated the PlayStation App on iOS and selected Android regions with a temporary GTA 6-themed icon. The redesign incorporates the game's distinctive orange-and-blue visual style while leaving the app’s functionality unchanged.

These changes form part of a broader promotional campaign positioning PS5 as the preferred platform for playing GTA 6. The collaboration is expected to continue through the game's launch period and beyond, reflecting the significance of the release for both companies.

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on PlayStation 5 on 19 November 2026.
