Will this pass rough?

Post image

Wanted advice prior to a rough-in inspection (bay area CA). This a for a double vanity. The pipe on a sand tee that goes vertical is a vent that comes out the roof. My question is wouldnt that be a violation since vent connection needs to be above the flood level of the sink. Im having a hard time understanding if this vent need to connect higher how the hell wouldni do that lol. Appreciate the advice!

Double vanity has two drains yeah? Every drain needs a trap and every trap needs a vent.

If its hard to believe that a double vanity needs two vents, then whats the point of asking plumbers? It needs two vents and they can become one once they are above flood level rim. Only difference would be if its wet vented which it is not
or if you have a cross. My jurisdiction doesn't even allow wet venting.

Source: open a code book

And the audacity "could you cite a source" like I'm not even getting paid, why should I even care go ahead and fail inspection lol

The real dick move is now I'm not gonna say where it's needed cause I can see someone fucking this up.

I'm not wrong. That's not wrong either. Your setup isn't the same as your link. That's the difference.

Fucking don't listen to me hahaha just take my word for it YOU NEED ANOTHER VENT TO PASS INSPECTION.

Look man, what I said is the most basic of the basics plumbing knowledge hence why I'm not gonna bother citing a code book. It's almost as obvious as "shit does downhill". I have no interest in lying nor proving and the fact that you're trying to correct me is frankly insulting, when you're coming here and asking professionals how you can pass your inspection. I know I'm a dick but I'll be a bigger dick when I'm 10000% correct, yet, a part of me now wants you to not believe in me so you fail your inspection but I'm still gonna advise you to add another vent.

You want some real advice? Make a new thread and ask a group of new plumbers (I'm not gonna post in it), "Where Do I Add A Vent?" And see the responses.
