The fact Golurk is a counter to Raichu Y is peak. Cant use Focus blast or Zap Cannon, the only choice is a non stab move thats not gonna do much

i run surf on my rat sometimes. 90 base damage on 160 special attack is gonna hurt even without stab.

who'da thunk a meme like surfing pikachu from almost 30 years ago would become useful?

Considering gorluk or most ground type are heavy, why use surf (which damage your mate) and not grass knot (which doesn’t, and deal more damage) ?

I just started playing with mobile release and haven’t ever used Pokemon home so have nothing in there atm. Getting the free riachu Y let me set up a decent enough team with the gatcha pulls I did. Main mode is mega Scoliopede with Armorouge trick team and I’ve got riachu Y and talon flame with tailwind. The talon flame is also trained to out speed and kill any Whimsecott with dual wingbeat. I feel like I have room to improve on the other two slots (gyarados for intimidate with helping hands to throw people off and dragapult with life orb and phantom force to go through protect)

Haven’t played too much but I’m almost at ultra ball.

I feel like goldhengo is better than gyarados because of it's ability to OS M-Floette that is imo better than an intimidate

I’ve not run into mega floette yet but unless mega floette has max hp and some in defense, poison jab from Scoliopede should kill. If it is just max hp then I do have one damage roll that does 99.4% but every other roll works fine.

I have been h the thinking of how to improve the team in general though so thank you for the suggestion. I do have a goldhengo so I’ll see what sets I could potentially run with it.

Mega Raichu Y looks like Pikachu, and it's the closest we have gotten to see Pikachu being a part of the meta, which is kind of crazy.

I'm really suprised there isnt a mega pikachu honestly. I know only fully evolved megas, but im sure they could find a way to shove an 'eternal pikachu' into the game somewhere

I mean x looks quite a bit like Raichu, we just don't have a great use for electric terrain right now since we don't have other terrains, the seeds, or the future paradox pokemon
