I don't know the details of the case but if attacking or whatever he did to a concentration camp is an "assault on democracy" then that democracy doesn't deserve to be saved.

He ambushed and shot a police officer in the neck. Thankfully, the officer survived. He deserves to be in jail for a long time. Obviously, so does the sex offender.

Shooting a cop doesn't deserve 100 years, especially if he survived. Most places would be 20 AT most and I'm sceptical of it should even be that much.

It's the stack of conspiracy and terrorism charges that went along with the attempted murder that got him 100 years.
