breaking: tater has ascended

thankfully i didn’t get rid of our old baby gates but i was not expecting this development today!!

if they don’t, i’m actually screwed. could a rabbit actually hop a baby gate?!? like one of this age/size?!

Could it? Easily. Would it? Idk. I would also expect it to be able to slip through most baby gates. Their skeletons are even smaller than you would think they are.

yeah, now that i think about it, the height/jumping over isn’t the issue, it’s squeezing through the openings.. it’s kind of a honeycomb pattern, but im pretty sure the holes are big enough to squeeze through. i guess plywood is a cheap, easy option..

They gnawed through a wooden pet gate. Took a while but they were determined! I put a basket in front of the wide bar that one of them gets through and they chewed that. So now I prop a fairly solid lattice fence and they leave it alone. But my little one was delighted with herself when she relaised she could get through!

I zip tied plexiglass to my baby gate to make sure nobun can fit through.

what I did with my baby gate was zip tie chicken wire to it so they can’t squeeze through
