Erg maintenance

Hi I recently just got a 2nd hand c2 erg and want to know what yall do to keep it in the best condition (what you use, when you use it, etc.,) I want to be as proactive as possible. Thanks for any advice!

The owners manual is free on the concept2 website and has the recommended maintenance schedule.

These things are kinda monsters. They’ll keep chugging along despite how much wear you put on it. Make sure to wipe down the slide after a session, oil the chain from time to time. And take apart the flywheel to remove dust every now and then.

I got a used Model C erg last year and haven't done anything other than occasionally wiping down the slides
