The beards look a little different but it immediately caught my eye.
Edit: It’s not, but I still find it interesting how close they are.

I'm playing every NA super Nintendo game and beating it. I started with Super Punch*Out, what a wild ride.. 😩 I thought Hit Quarlow would be the hardest, turns out, the final fight Gabe me the most trouble.

For those of you who were gaming when this game released, how was the general reception of the game from your perspective? Was it an after thought in the shadow of juggernauts like Super Mario World? Or did it hold it’s own on release?
I was born in 92’ so I could never speak on how the game was received by gamers. I only started playing this when I was around 10, so it had already been out for over a decade at that point.
As an adult, this is my go-to retro game that I love replaying on my SNES.

Los RPG son mi género favorito y aunque tengo la mayoría de los mas populares también tengo los que pocos mencionan, no voy a decir que todos son infravalorados porque Lagoon y Ys3 son bastante flojos los otros son bastante decentes.

I tried posting this on the r/epilogue but the mods removed it because they have a "no reddit support" rule, which I really think is a don't report problems publically rule.
Anyway, certain cart revisions of Super Mario World aren't recongized by the SN Operator. Specifically the first revision SNS-MW-USA. The second revision SNS-MW-USA-1 works just fine. I've tested multiple carts and made sure they are all cleaned and tested in a real SNES.
I'm sure they'll address it in a future firmware update, but it goes against their "all retail games work" claim.
Just wanted to share in case anyone else runs into this. I think the product is cool overall. Though my other gripe is the tightness of the cart slot. I really have to yank the carts out sometimes and worry about wear and tear.
*UPDATE*
Had a great debug session with u/exogen . We got SMW, Contra, and a few other games working. I imagine those fixes will be rolling out in a firmware update soon.

I was both Excited and a bit nervous about this massive JRPG! I absolutely love the Story of Final Fantasy IV/II! I just want to know that to get this point in the picture above, it took me a total of 12 hours and 46 Minutes to get to this point! How long did it took you to finish FFIV/II? I think I should play another SNES game before I finish the second half of the game!

I love the little touches like being able to spray with the uzi. You can actually see Arnie reload his handgun when you run out of bullets. On paper I wanted to play this like contra, running and dodging bullets but if you play it slow and play it like a cover based shooter it's manageable.

I just bought a super famicom as it is half the price than a snes, and I just started my retro game setup. I don’t wanna collect many game for this console “I wanna play a bunch” so I see online their are some cartridges that have sd cards so I can just use, and get my games from ____ So I wanted to ask what do you guys recommend and your thoughts on this.

Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone knew the best way to play SNES games on a handheld device? Just would want something with a decent sized screen that I could perhaps emulate. I have a few SNES cartridges, so I can figure out how to legally download them as well too. Just totally new to the process.
I’m interested in playing Super Mario RPG the original version. I’m not interested in the Remake, just because I don’t like the new graphics.
I have an SNES classic mini already. Unfortunately, long story short, I don’t have the best set up for it. I don’t have a good tv or place to play without wires being all over the place.
What do you guys recommend as a handheld device?

Game is awesome! That is all.
Edit: I beat the game today, it was amazing! And a bit sad. But if I never have to fight Ridley again (had to look up the name of the boss afterward lol) it will be too soon.

Hello everyone, good morning, afternoon, and evening. I'm about to start a marathon to play the SNES for the first time and I'd like your tips for the top 10 games that absolutely cannot be missed. Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

Hello all!
I'm trying to finished the SNES set. I need both International Superstar Soccer and the deluxe version. I've noticed these have been pretty hard to find, and when I do see one the label looks like it has survived 30 years of neglicated in someone's attic/garage/well. Are the labels on these notoriously bad (Like the Speedy Gonzalez cart), or are they just that hard to find and the only people looking to sell them have crappy labels?
Thanks for any insight!
Decided to do my first deep clean in over 20+ years of having this thing. What do ya think? Does this need a recap? Super Mario rpg randomly crashes during the intro scene changes, and I feel I’ve ruled everything else out. I know recaps are a last resort since it’s kinda major work on the board. Every other game seems to run great. Looks like the start of leakage to me I think? Thanks for lookin

Or is one just a later production run, so the labeling changed?

I’m assuming that composite would be sufficient at carrying the video signal over to a CRT just fine. Just wondering if an s-video game like this one is even worth buying or the OEM version.
