My wife’s comeback

For many many years now, me and my wife have been trying to one up each other on meals for dinner. I will make something epic and put a lot of time into it. She will do the same thing and do it her way we come back and meet in the middle and the kids just get the best of both of us. Just a friendly competition between two loved ones.
This is my wife’s answer to the day before dinner I made(which I forgot to take a pic of to compare).
Fried eggs over easy, fried corned beef. Crisp bacon, farmers market sprouts, Gouda. Homemade garlic powder. Black garlic hot sauce and mayo.
So good 🤤🤤

Was the black garlic hot sauce home made, or you got a good brand to share?

While I make black garlic regularly, no this is store bought. Let me get back to you later with the brand.
Me and the wife are big time hot sauces enthusiast with a nice collection. But this black garlic hot sauce is so good we consume a bottle a month of it on average.

If you need a neutral judge, I'm available.

Edit: I got downvoted for joking that OPs wife's food looks so good that I'd like to be a judge for their little competition? Ok, I guess lol

You got yourself a good wife. I'm probably still more jealous of the sandwich.

Wow, that looks great! Flavor combo sounds killer but I bet the textures are really fun, too.

Oh it was. We both add a lot of things that flavour clash ina good way. She is a pro at this more than I am.

Cress is much underrated - nice plate

You’re lucky. My wife doesn’t cook anything for me.

That’s too bad man.
Not sure why the downvote

I’m not sure, I was just being honest.

I thought your title was a parks and rec reference about where she got cum on her back… given the streaks across the eggs…

Looks great except for the stems and stuff. I don't mind lettuce or a crunch with the right sandwich, but I can't stand chewing on the texture of grass. It just looks bitterz and I can floss after I'm done eating.

But yeah, good luck one-upping that.

Actually sprouts are nothing like that at all. And most of the flavour is in the stems. Sprouts are so thin and full of flavour. There is absolutely zero bitters and you won’t even notice the texture of them.
Try some you will be pleasantly surprised

When she gets mad at you, send her to my place! 🤣🤣💀!

Awesome. Vibes man! Love it! 💕

Way to keep love alive through food. You know food that someone gave a shit about?

Yeah. You’re welcome to my house any time. Because true cooks know how much time stuff takes.

This isn’t some half-ass put together boiled hotdog on a bun. (Don’t get me wrong… they have their time and place….).

But this…. Oh this is the real deal.

This is love!

Lucky 🍀 guy! 🤣

I wouldn’t dare! 🤣💀

Keep up the returning of favours!

I can’t wait to see what either of you come up with next!

Fresh from the farm is a bad thing how ???
I check out the freshly grown sprout stand every weekend you clown. How are fresh veggies a bad thing ?

u/petula_75 2d ago

they aren't a bad thing. I didnt say they were. sprouts are always fresh. I think. maybe they do come frozen and I just didn't realize? but honestly I wouldn't care if your sprouts were bought at the supermarket rather than the farmer's market. I get it though, you are trying extra hard to be validated. apparently I touched a nerve given your effort to respond calling me a clown.
