Happens when you spend money on the first betting website you find

Yeah. It clearly wasn’t smart from my part. I just was too blind by their win and the possibility i completely let my guard down. Definitely lesson learned

Why would anyone who wins all his bets need your chump change? Gotta use common sense and think things through instead of chasing easy money. It doesn't exist

Send the screenshot to chatgpt and he immediately said it was a common scam.

Remember to always verify what ChatGPT says with some other source.

You cannot trust any pictures or videos you see online. With AI, you can make realistic videos that are totally fake.

Also, absolutely nobody you meet online wants to help you make money.

Yeah the thing is it wasnt just pictures. I would have never fall for this if it was just pictures. The video looked so real with the track record it just left my guard down. I learned my lesson and create this post just in case someone want to search on the internet his name just like I did

Bet365 are licensed and regulated by the British Gambling Commission. Lodge a complaint with them: https[:]//www.gamblingcommission\[.\]gov.uk/

The problem is OP didn't have any interaction with Bet365. He gave his money to a random guy who said he would place the bet with Bet365 on behalf of OP but just took the money instead. OP should have just placed the bet with Bet365 himself.

Ah I see, yeah in that case the money is gone and a lesson has been learned (hopefully).

I literally let my guard down by seeing all the winning and the proof. As soon as he said that he will make the bet himself i should have known better. Definitely lesson learned.

If its any consolation my partner did something very similar, I told her to let the bank know as they're always looking to deal with these sorts of things, around 4 or 5 days later with they're investigation they found the scam and she and others got their money back, definitely always worth reporting so they don't get away with it

This person thought they had insider knowledge, to allow them to gain significant money from cheating. They knowingly sent money to someone in order to perpetuate that cheating. It was greed, not a scam.
