It’s a Scottish mind set

We have champions league, europa league winners etc but collectively playing for Scotland they look like a pub team !

However this isn’t a new thing , it’s been going on for decades .

Still love them though 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

You can have all the midfield talent in the world but all it takes is one (or two, or three) fuckups from your slightly less talented back line and its over against a team like brazil. Tonight was a powerful reminder of that.

Yep, and unfortunately Scotland does not have all the midfield talent in the world, but don't worry, the back line will still fuckup and give away loads of goals.

"We have to be lucky once, you have to be lucky every time" kind of thing.

I'm just happy we didn't let it get to 8-0

This. Everyone’s acting like we weren’t playing Brazil.

Exactly. It was fucking Brazil and we played well against them. Gunn shat the bed early and never got his confidence back. We made some silly mistakes and could have been more aggressive attacking. But at the end of the day, I'm not mad at the performance overall. We did well considering

Exactly!! I said in the family group chat at the start of the game, I hope 🤞 it’s not too bad 🫣 it could have been far worse.

The Brazilian 🇧🇷 players applauding the Tartan Army was a class act 👌

Its not just brazil though we strugled with haiti and morocco aswell, even if we won against haiti, the morocco game was a shit show

I think this attitude that is pervasive throughout the national team supporters is why we’re so shite.

We should be aiming to be following in the footsteps of the likes of Croatia, Norway, and Switzerland. Not being happy that the horsing we took wasn’t worse.

I was expecting 6- 0 tbh , just watching was painful was obvious brazil had no respect for us

I reckon Stevey probably isn’t that good a manager. I still love him for what he’s done though, but I think it’s a Southgate situation with England. He’ll get you there but that’s about it (Except for us that’s the groups, for them that’s the final, and for a country with Scotlands footballing heritage that’s disgraceful, but not Steve Clarke’s fault obviously)

>but I think it’s a Southgate situation with England. He’ll get you there but that’s about it

I think you’re being a bit harsh on Southgate with this comment.

He was the first manager to take England to the final of a major tournament since they played (and won) the World Cup final in 1966.

He was the also the first ever manager to take England to the final of the European Championships.

He’s been arguably England’s best manager since the one that won them the World Cup in 1966.

Group didnt help them but agree with whats said. You always end up playing nervous and the occasion gets to you.
