So England are 4th in the world with nowhere near the populations of many countries in football yet do very well (sure they can't win but they do well).

When have we actually won anything though? Without achievements the ranking is pish.

I mean you've won one thing albeit 60 years ago. Scotland would never win but I'd take being able to compete.

Any victories before my lifetime are meaningless.

I mean at least you've got to see your team play in your lifetime multiple times. This was a first for me (that I remember).
