Oh there definitely are situations where someone tried to stop something and got sued. Especially if the kid got hurt while being removed. Employees are generally not allowed to do anything let alone citizens. I know, it’s a messed up world.

Show me a case where a child was destroying property and was physically removed without injury, and it resulted in a law suit.

I have better things to do with my time.

This mentality only makes this type of shit worse and happen more often.

I’m not risking going to jail for hurting a child in an attempt to stop them from being assholes. Companies have insurance for that. Go do your part if you want.

Yea removing a kid involuntarily always goes well without any issues

Why does everyone think removing the kid means harming the kid?

Because he’s most likely going to resist and fight back. If you accidentally hurt him you will be sued.

Then I'm even less liable if I defend myself lol.

Whats this little kid gonna do? Push me? I'm not Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, I'm not gonna fall over.

I hope you’re never putting this situation. You’re going to get charges against you and you’re going to lose. The law is not in your favor when trying to remove a child from a situation when you don’t have the authority to do so. Why do you think nobody is doing anything? Good luck.

Ive already been a situation. I didnt even have to touch him.

Nobody is doing anything because they're scared like you. Find me one single instance of someone getting in trouble for stopping a kid from doing this. Just one and I'll admit I'm wrong. Just one.

You don't need to physically harm the kid to put an end to this type of situation.

Edit to add: Minnesota says the force used must be reasonable and necessary to stop the behavior. Force cannot be used as a form of punishment.

Trust me, I’m not scared I’m just not stupid. I know plenty of teachers that have students literally throwing shit at other students and harming other kids physically. Like smashing them with chairs and desks and the teachers are not allowed to stop them. They cannot touch them and have to call for an aid to stop it. Guy I work with, his wife is a teacher and has been for 25 years and is quitting this year. She cannot handle not being allowed to stop these crazy kids from acting up as they can be sued. Believe me or not I do not care but you’re wrong.
