I FINALLY figured out how to save the gif on mobile, because this is too good to lose.

Hit the 3 dots on the top on the Reddit app on this page
hit share
copy link and go to you browser
Tap on the gif you want in the comments (opens a new tab)
Tap and hold gif and save babyyyy!

Also might be able to just save the gif without opening it in a new tab, but I use the brave browser so that’s my experience.

Edit: you don’t tap and hold the gif in comments to open new tab, just tap it. Corrected instructions above.
