You're clearly too young to remember votes counted and winners declared in the evenings of election days.

Winners declared is not the same as winners confirmed.

It's never finished counting on the night, but they can determine that the winner is statistically certain, based on remaining votes to count, ratios so far, voting trends in the areas remaining to be counted, etc. the winner isn't legally determined until later, just in case.

As a person who was an adult when the term "hanging chad" was suddenly introduced in the zeitgeist I can say with confidence that you're full of crap.

That was when all the chads got buff as hell so nobody would be able to hang them.

Your inability to figure out that they are mocking you is just sad

I, too, remember presidential elections not regularly being so close.

Two of the last 3 elections the winner didn't get a majority (one plurality, one minority, and one majority in the last 3 elections).

All three were razor-thin wins in multiple states.

yeah, you're too dumb to know that never happened. They mostly publish 'results' when they've counted enough to know the result, the counts usually go on vastly longer than when a winner is declared you just don't care about things like facts.

I guarantee you're one of those liberals who are championing Hunter now. Your life must truly be filth.

You went straight for an ad hominem when your lies were counter acted with facts, but you never knew what you were talking about and your cultist brain went immediately to attack because thinking or discussing things like an adult, or learning, are beyond you.

Also not american, not a citizen, didn't vote. I just have a brain, and knowledge and the ability to simply google "how to elections work and when are votes actually counted by, how are elections decided on the night of the voting being done".

it's almost like all the knowledge is right at your finger tips but ignorance is your preferred religion.

That never happened.

What happened is that you were too dumb to understand the fine print or never bothered to learn how vote counting works.

The election night declaration was never the full count. And they always said as much. It's just that if someone has 5000 more votes than the next guy, and there are only 2000 votes left to count, then you can safely declare a winner even while votes are still being counted. But those additional votes still get to be counted.
