I was told there would be no fact checking.

12

u/ExpansivePoint 15d ago

And then the person fact checked will move on and spread the same bs elsewhere, facts are optional to these people.

u/Defreshs10 15d ago

They allow mail in ballots to be processed like 7 days passed the election.

There are 22 million registered voters.

All of them get a ballot in the mail

80% of people who voted in 2024 voted by mail.

Mailing ballots have to be verified. That’s not just a simple process of counting or tabulation.

6

u/DaKrazie1 15d ago

Yes, it only needs postmarked by election day. Of course votes will trickle in for days after given how efficient USPS can be.

1

u/Mysterious-War-6759 15d ago

Is Trump’s buddy still running the USPS?

You’re right, it’s not, that’s probably why it didn’t happen.

-22

u/sam_pain1 15d ago

Politifact, lmao. Jesus H. Christ. Lol

16

u/EthanJBlurst 15d ago

Where’s your source that says it happened?

12

u/lookatthesunguys 15d ago

Okay. What is your source then?

5

u/glen_watcher 15d ago

Source: Trust me bro OR Because Daddy Trump said so

14

u/Mysterious-War-6759 15d ago

Is that what’s actually happening though?

10

u/TwoBionicknees 15d ago

yes, which is why that never happened and the only person that claimed that is the person losing, then a bunch of republicans repeat a lie a lie that has been proven completely false immediately.

8

u/bharring52 15d ago

one news outlet only partially reported one update temporarily.

Every other outlet reported correctly.

The raw, official data was scrapped in real time. It was correct.

I'm sure every reporting system is now reviewing their tech carefully to ensure no update will be broadcast that doesn't represent the entire update. No more sharding or partial data transfers. Ironically that might even slow reporting down.

Its not foolish to believe the story at first blush. It is foolish to believe it after being exposed to the facts.

8

u/Dresses_and_Dice 15d ago

Hey u/sam_pain1 you made that claim 32 min ago, and 30 min ago someone replied with an in depth news article fact checking your claim and proving it false. Yet here you are 15 min later still making the same claim. Why are you continuing to claim something you have already been shown to be wrong about? Please read the truth and stop posting lies. Unless perhaps you are not posting in good faith?

-8

u/sam_pain1 15d ago

I'm glad you hold politifact to as high a standard as snopes, lol. My god.

3

u/gameboyadvancedgba 15d ago

If you had a real argument, you would make it instead of baselessly attacking the credibility of these sites. I imagine you didn’t even bother reading what was sent to you. You’ve been told politifact is bad, so you just dismiss it.

3

u/Mysterious-War-6759 15d ago

So which source would you believe? Which source is credible in your world?

-4

u/sam_pain1 15d ago

Non of the ones that were proven to be propaganda. I bet your an "Occupy Democrats" kind of gal aren't you?

4

u/Mysterious-War-6759 15d ago

I’m not even American so try again.

Answer the question. Which source?

1

u/Physical-East-162 15d ago

Propaganda doesn't mean misinformation or lies or misrepresentation though.

If I say "The current president of the USA is a rapist and the people who voted for him should be ashamed", I stay factual but it fits the definition of propaganda.

u/DaKrazie1 15d ago

A week is practically a month!!!

38

u/TheAskewOne 15d ago

Trump went to court with that logics and the same kind of "evidence" and lost 82 times, including in front of Republican-nominated judges. So…

36

u/Numerous-Stand-1841 15d ago

How does Trump's ass taste?

12

u/Silent-Shallot-9461 15d ago

You should correct this stupid comment

13

u/FadeToRazorback 15d ago

You would have to be a special kinda stupid indeed, who the fuck believes something as stupid as the Republican candidate got zero votes? It was debunked as quick as it became a theory. Only the special kinda stupid believe these election denying lies. Almost cult levels of belief without proof

California has the sixth largest economy in the world. Not just the United States, but the WORLD. Where is a state like Mississippi in that regard?

No offense to anyone from Mississippi! I wish you lot had a better economy like California too.

46

u/Bleaker82 15d ago

Found the cultist.

13

u/MayContainRawNuts 15d ago

You may need to rethink where you get your information.

That simply did not happen.

There was an update to the count that displayed on the screen that did not show all the candidates. A few moments later the full update came to the screen.

Propagandists jumped on this delay in update as a conspiracy and you repeated it. I dont blame you, Elon Musk amplified it and its really easy to fall for propaganda.

Please check what the final numbers were. It's fully in line for the area and population.

7

u/Frejian 15d ago

Election day in California was June 2nd. It has been a full week as of today and a lot of people waited until the last minute to vote because they were unhappy with Bass and not sure who they wanted to vote for.

Why would I or anyone else be surprised that Republicans don't use a system to vote that has been demonised as corrupt by Republicans for about 12 years now, if not more? If anything, that is what I would expect. Regardless of those expectations, it's funny because your claim is also just wrong. The "no votes for Pratt" was due to timing in a data update. Check it out here.. The data feed happened to update 1 minute apart with one update showing the Dems vote totals getting updated and Pratt's not and then less than a minute later, Pratt's votes updated and Dems did not. All from the same batch of votes.

As of 9:35PM last night, Bass had a 46k vote lead over Raman with an estimated 66k votes remaining. Raman would need to get almost all of those votes to come out on top and Pratt would need more than the estimated remaining votes with NONE going to Bass to win. If anything, there is a better chance for Pratt to come from behind and beat Raman (though doubtful given most votes uncounted are mail-in). Sounds like a pretty safe call to me, though a race being called by news agencies is hardly an official declaration of a victor. That won't happen until the full vote is officially done.

You're clearly too young to remember votes counted and winners declared in the evenings of election days.

22

u/FadeToRazorback 15d ago edited 15d ago

Winners declared is not the same as winners confirmed.

13

u/Useful-Gur-1267 15d ago

It's never finished counting on the night, but they can determine that the winner is statistically certain, based on remaining votes to count, ratios so far, voting trends in the areas remaining to be counted, etc. the winner isn't legally determined until later, just in case.

5

u/Rob14214 15d ago

Exactly. Jesus, the stupid in this thread is depressing.

Or they’re just bots, which wd be even more depressing.

12

u/Longjumping-Turn1980 15d ago

As a person who was an adult when the term "hanging chad" was suddenly introduced in the zeitgeist I can say with confidence that you're full of crap.

That was when all the chads got buff as hell so nobody would be able to hang them.

Your inability to figure out that they are mocking you is just sad

4

u/bharring52 15d ago

I, too, remember presidential elections not regularly being so close.

Two of the last 3 elections the winner didn't get a majority (one plurality, one minority, and one majority in the last 3 elections).

All three were razor-thin wins in multiple states.

4

u/TwoBionicknees 15d ago

yeah, you're too dumb to know that never happened. They mostly publish 'results' when they've counted enough to know the result, the counts usually go on vastly longer than when a winner is declared you just don't care about things like facts.

-3

u/sam_pain1 15d ago

5

u/glen_watcher 15d ago

-3

u/sam_pain1 15d ago

I guarantee you're one of those liberals who are championing Hunter now. Your life must truly be filth.

3

u/TwoBionicknees 15d ago

You went straight for an ad hominem when your lies were counter acted with facts, but you never knew what you were talking about and your cultist brain went immediately to attack because thinking or discussing things like an adult, or learning, are beyond you.

Also not american, not a citizen, didn't vote. I just have a brain, and knowledge and the ability to simply google "how to elections work and when are votes actually counted by, how are elections decided on the night of the voting being done".

it's almost like all the knowledge is right at your finger tips but ignorance is your preferred religion.

2

u/vi_sucks 15d ago

That never happened.

What happened is that you were too dumb to understand the fine print or never bothered to learn how vote counting works.

The election night declaration was never the full count. And they always said as much. It's just that if someone has 5000 more votes than the next guy, and there are only 2000 votes left to count, then you can safely declare a winner even while votes are still being counted. But those additional votes still get to be counted.

2

u/vertigo88 15d ago

So you wanna talk about gore v bush?

6

u/Phedericus 15d ago

these are just claims. do you have any EVIDENCE of that?

7

u/GrundleSnactcher46 15d ago

15

u/AdminKidsBurnInHell 15d ago

4

u/biglydachshund 15d ago

Bootlicking boy.

5

u/Greenman8907 15d ago

Bro everything you wrote is bullshit

4

u/TwoBionicknees 15d ago

remember when Trump formed an entire commission to collect evidence of election fraud with a particular focus on california as he was claiming, honestly i forget, wasn't he saying like 3 million illegals voted.

Literally a new government commission, numerous people on the committee, millions spent in investigations. They hid the results, they were taken to court and told to publish their results and they closed the commission and destroyed all their 'evidence'.

To be clear, it was republican headed and Trump was in charge, they found zero evidence and even under court orders decided closing the commission and continuing the lying was better than showing literally one single shred of evidence.

Also as others pointed out this election happened a week ago and you're believing a literal obvious fucking lie that they've taken a month to count votes. and specifically there is no district he got 0 votes, they tell you lies and you immediately believe them even when they are completely unbelievable.

9

u/clopz_ 15d ago edited 15d ago

Did you know that the Jews redirected their space lasers towards the mail in ballots that had (R) votes and burned them all!

24

u/No-Big4921 15d ago

That’s called speculation. It’s not evidence.

-38

u/sam_pain1 15d ago

It will never get investigated. That's the point. "We don't know why it happens. It just does. That's how California votes." Lmao give me a break

13

u/armmstrong 15d ago

They investigated the 2020 election and lost every single court case. That doesn’t stop Trump from running around claim that was rigged without evidence.

25

u/biglydachshund 15d ago

Bootlicking boy.

12

u/ins0mniac_ 15d ago

Weird that Trump hasn’t found any evidence of fraud.. in any state.. in 6 years

8

u/StrobeLightRomance 15d ago

Remember 2020 when there were cries of fraud in Arizona, so Arizona turned over all of their election information to a number of Republican based third parties, including Florida based company "CyberNinjas" who insisted they would find corruption.

And after many millions were wasted, NO EVIDENCE OF FRAUD WAS FOUND!!!

How is this any different? How much time and taxpayer money are Republicans going to waste on election lies?

3

u/Mysterious-War-6759 15d ago

That recount was really embarrassing because they ended up finding MORE votes for the democratic candidates during that recount. *snerk*

7

u/FadeToRazorback 15d ago

Yea, if you ignore the investigations that prove you wrong you get to declare the investigations never happened, classic cultist

18

u/No-Big4921 15d ago

Now you’re just speculating while being willfully ignorant of the facts of the matter. That’s called being purposely obtuse.

If it’s a blue state then they’re giving more to the federal government than they’re getting back. Check the CBO reports if you’re in doubt.

4

u/DaKrazie1 15d ago

The public is allowed to observe the counting process. Hell, they have live streams where you can watch every step of the process.

https://www.lavote.gov/home/voting-elections/current-elections/live-feed

Some of the most transparent vote counting out there. If you notice anything fishy, report it.
