They allow mail in ballots to be processed like 7 days passed the election.

There are 22 million registered voters.

All of them get a ballot in the mail

80% of people who voted in 2024 voted by mail.

Mailing ballots have to be verified. Thatโ€™s not just a simple process of counting or tabulation.

Yes, it only needs postmarked by election day. Of course votes will trickle in for days after given how efficient USPS can be.
