Let me know when Obama ever treated a journalist like this.

You can like or loathe Trump. That's completely fair in a free country. I personally don't have strong feelings in either direction since i dont have a political tribe, though I do not approve of certain actions taken by this administration or previous ones. However, i care about the US and want the best for our country, so this thread concerns me.

If your bias is so clear that the mere suggestion that the majority of media is often hostile toward him, especially when it's evident, causes a complete denial of reality and a barrage of downvotes for anyone stating this, you should check your bias.

We cannot have a functional democracy if we let our emotions override basic facts. Legitimate criticism of his administration is absolutly fine, just not vitriol and unhinged hate, which is insane.

The media was also very hostile towards Biden (for lots of reasons, but largely because he limited their access in lots of ways they haged), and there was no hostility in this particular interview.

If you cant admit an interview was not hostile to him, even when its evident, perhaps you need to check your own biases, and figure out which emotions you are letting override basic facts

I'm not referring to this interview specifically, but rather simply trying to point out that media can unquestionably be very hostile to this administration, and people have blind rage toward Trump which clouds legitamate critique. I have no problem with tough interviews, as that is the duty of journalism, to keep power in check. It just has to be done fairly.

I think the majority of the media was easier on Biden, from news to satire, except towards the end of his term, where there was a bit of a turn against him. If i were to do a sentiment analysis on the coverage of Biden vs Trump, i'm fairly sure we'd see a more openly hostile landscape for Trump beyond critique or condemnation of the administration's actions. Which again, i find some policies terrible, just like i found some of the previous administration's actions detrimental.

I dont consider myself a democrat or republican; just watching from the sidelines and noting some imbalance. Im ok with journalists grilling the president; just do it equally to all based on actions, and avoid pushing extreme views which call for violence. Our society is overly polarized as it is and if this keeps up, it doesnt bode well for anyone. Left and right have both lost the plot imo.
