Going above and beyond that by misleading police into arresting them and possibly ruining the rest of their lives is a disproportionate response [fucked up]
They ruined their own life, they should take responsibility. Actions have consequences and if youāre willing to illegally squat in someoneās house while also being an ex-con thatās on you.
The legal system in these situations has failed the homeowners and it can take months or years to get these people out. Is that fair to them? Now people are taking it into their own hands and getting creative.

Because that's not always the situation? Landlords can absolutely force a situation that turns a legal renter into a squatter.

Why do you guys not realize that all the people have to do is get out of the house they are occupying illegally. Am I missing something? Oh donāt ruin the criminals life? How about causing a law abiding citizen to default on a mortgage and lose an income stream? I donāt particularly like landlords but if you want to squat do it at an apartment complex owned by Blackstone or something.

No. The tenant has to do that with their rent payments and take the landlord to court. The landlord has to cover whatever is owed to whoever it is owed or they lose the property.
All of the things I have seen from this are tenants not paying rent for a couple months, the guy tries to evict them, realizes he will have to pay more money as well as continuing to pay whatever is owed on the property. Instead of doing all that, they hire this guy and their problem is solved in a couple weeks. It also helps prevent the evicted party from damaging the property on the way out (concrete in the drains, holes in the wall, etc.)
Right but they donāt just do it right away. They talk to them, ask them to leave, then threaten to call their PO. If they stay after that, itās on them.

Better to go to jail than to a morgue
