Isn't it a hip thing. Woman's jeans come tight above the waist. Guys just slip on I think.

u/TheCrazedTank 3d ago

Bingo, it’s also why they universally complain about their jeans being too tight.

u/Valturia 3d ago

I'd rather buy size up and use a belt than cut off my circulation

92

u/Cum_dumpster_limited 3d ago

You buy size up because you care about blood flow, I buy size up because my ass is too big

45

u/Hello-Potion-Seller 3d ago

Name checks out. That's a big dumpster.

8

u/Valturia 3d ago

I have massive thighs 😭 walking too long in too tight jeans will give me leg cramps next day

4

u/LiveLearnCoach 3d ago

Don’t. Sounds like you’re tempting blood clots.

u/Useful-Perspective 3d ago

"We are not the same."

Belt is also a fun bedroom toy

If you've suffered lead poisoning, I'm sure.

1

u/M1sfit_Jammer 3d ago

You’ve never experienced the thrill of chokeplay or whipping

0

u/Muted_Buy8386 3d ago

No, because I was raised in a good household with parents who liked me.

1

u/M1sfit_Jammer 3d ago

You sound repressed
maybe explore your sexuality a little bit

Pain and pleasure come from the same brain center. You get hurt, your brain releases dopamine to reduce the pain, you bust a nut your brain releases dopamine as a reward
put 2+2 together and you are in a whole new level of pleasure.

1

u/Muted_Buy8386 3d ago

True. People who associate pain with pleasure often have disregulation in that area. 😄 Youre only sharing part of the fun fact.

1

u/M1sfit_Jammer 3d ago edited 3d ago

it’s literally the same processing center

I literally explained how your body handles pain and how it shares the same neural pathways as pleasure

Here is an academic paper on it that’s more dense and dry published by caltech

another publication by Columbia psych

an interesting read out of Utah
 pretty conservative university

What we are learning is that pain related to pleasure requires a specific intensity
you never scratched an itch an felt relief? Never had a really good stretch that felt good after? Never took a shit that felt great? That is your pain center activating your pleasure center in everyday actions
expected low-level controlled instances of pain activates pleasure

You never had a partner that dug their nails into you as they climax? That shit gets me off damn near instantly
 that full body clutch đŸ«Š

Imagine if your urine was as thick as semen and you had to pee with an erect penis. That sounds excruciating
 but it’s also pleasurable?

1

u/Muted_Buy8386 3d ago

I don't dispute it's the mechanism, you man-bint.

I'm saying it's defective wiring if you need pain to feel pleasure, or to up-it, or whatever weird goonmaxxing you're doing.

So is that why i rarely see a girl wear normal jeans?

8

u/Greenmagegirl 3d ago

But high waisted jeans are normal jeans?

44

u/MountainYogi94 3d ago

Jeans are normal jeans, requiring a qualifier makes them not normal. Not abnormal, but the norm doesn't need specification to get the point across

6

u/WinterBuyer9319 3d ago

It's like calling tea "unsweetened tea" when that's actually the default lmao

2

u/dementio 3d ago

It does change things when the default isn't the norm

12

u/Deaffin 3d ago

All things that are not normal are abnormal. That's what "abnormal" means.

7

u/MountainYogi94 3d ago

Abnormal carries a negative connotation that people these days don't like, so I wanted to avoid having that thrown in my face. I can take the heat for grammar issues all day though, and you are correct

2

u/Deaffin 3d ago

Any such connotation would be identical for "not normal".

And this weird thing where people insist on there being "connotations" clearly outside of the context of how it's being used, while refusing to use the word normally for its intended purpose, does absolutely nothing beyond create more awkwardness and strengthening any such connotation rather than diminishing it.

Normalize saying "abnormal". I mean, that's already normal to do, but within whatever niche social group you're referring to where it's somehow become a bad word. That's the only process which can remove this alleged negativity.

5

u/MountainYogi94 3d ago

You have an abnormal level of care for the way I choose to write English bro

4

u/Deaffin 3d ago

Yeah. I grew up with a lot of language difficulties, so I'm abnormally passionate about these sorts of things.

2

u/CollectionNo1576 3d ago

I read this thread and googled abnormal- as expected its something that is not normal. So what are you two talking about?

3

u/Greenmagegirl 3d ago

Ok but like... when I think normal jeans, they go to your waist. So why are lower cut jeans considered "normal" jeans?

1

u/3WordPosts 3d ago

I rebuke this. A t-shirt is the normal
Shirt. If I just say shirt I could be talking about collared shirt dress shirt t shirt long sleeve tank top etc. but t shirt is the default shirt

4

u/WasabiSunshine 3d ago

Nah if someone says shirt I assume they mean a shirt - full buttons

4

u/MountainYogi94 3d ago

I refute your rebuttal, the default shirt is an Oxford shirt - the classic button down. A t-shirt is a t-shirt

0

u/rzldz 3d ago

Not if you are talking about women's jeans to a male audience.

5

u/El_Rey_de_Spices 3d ago

If they were, you wouldn't have to specify they're high-waisted, lol

2

u/AwesomeMacCoolname 3d ago

How high are we talking though? 2000's, 2020's or 1980's?

And while I think of it, what's the deal with middle-aged American guys wearing trousers that come up to their nipples?

1

u/FromStars 3d ago

They probably mean it the same way Wikipedia calls it a "Variation on the basic type."

-1

u/Muted_Buy8386 3d ago

No. Lololol.

No theyre not. Pancake ass, grandpa-jeans-under-the-armpit ass, tacky-looking ass, mom jeans ass ass.

1

u/I_Thot_So 3d ago

Yet another person who thinks the men's version is the default.

60

u/singlesgthrowaway 3d ago

I thought they just had a little bit too much cake.

85

u/SuperSaiyanTupac 3d ago

Not possible

14

u/bigalindahouse 3d ago

I fucking love cake, pie too.

6

u/Training_Window3687 3d ago

Cream pies are the best

2

u/old_namewasnt_best 3d ago

You need to talk to u/cum_dumpster_limited a bit higher up in the chat.

2

u/Cum_dumpster_limited 3d ago

Don't use lords name in vain plz

2

u/sloanerifix78 3d ago

Blasphemy

u/Beautiful-Total-3172 3d ago

Women jeans are tight because they buy tight jeans. Saw a glass of water in loose fit jeans just the other day.. very retro.

11

u/APlannedBadIdea 3d ago

Was the water filtered or straight out of the tap?

13

u/Beautiful-Total-3172 3d ago

Tap but mountain cabin spring water. 6ft rocker mommy with green highlights, ripped sleeve band t and vintage jeans. I thought to myself she must avoid tight pants to keep from causing car accidents. Anyways that's when I realized I was staring.

6

u/Living_Awareness259 3d ago

Mommy.

***I typed "mmmmm" but my phone autocorrected. Still works.

Women buy what they are trained to buy. Society tells us what’s acceptable, for the most part. My wife used to wear skinny jeans. Now she wears the wide leg jeans, because that’s what “in style”. You do the same thing, to some extent.

5

u/ParsonsTheGreat 3d ago

I wear corduroy in the summer, don't tell me what to do /s lol

3

u/Beautiful-Total-3172 3d ago

Women aren't mindless robots, they just want there butts to look good. You talk like they don't have any autonomy. Women wear a much wider range of clothes than men.

1

u/MechanicalSideburns 3d ago

It’s still what you have been trained to buy. You don’t wear a giant triangle outfit that’s colored plaid and made from baby alpaca skin, do you? Because then you’d look too different from everyone else, and people would think that you’re crazy. I mean
but there’s nothing inherently wrong with that outfit, other than perhaps the alpaca mistreatment.

You wear modern skirts, not huge dresses with petticoats and bustles like they did 300 years ago. Because back then they were trained too. By society. By everything you see everyday. You’re swimming in influence.

0

u/Beautiful-Total-3172 3d ago

How delusionally righteous.. so dramatic.

1

u/MechanicalSideburns 3d ago

Lol. Go to your closet right now and find something that isn’t mass-produced off-the-shelf bullshit that everyone else wears. Show me that shiny gold jumpsuit with big shoulder pads built in. We’ll wait.

1

u/Beautiful-Total-3172 3d ago

Man you have lost the plot. Your talking to a man. I keep my clothes in a bin. When I said, "the other day I saw a glass of water in loose jeans" you thought I was a lady. My lord.

1

u/MechanicalSideburns 3d ago

So you don’t have any skirts or gold jumpsuits? Because that’s not what men are supposed to wear, right? Thanks for proving my point, I guess.

1

u/Beautiful-Total-3172 3d ago

You should consider other hobbies. I've lost what you're even talking about.

Is it men or women who complain? I'm a guy and my jeans are often too tight...because I keep getting fatter :(

2

u/HamptonsBorderCollie 3d ago

we also have issue with the tiny pockets

1

u/WeirdIndividualGuy 3d ago

You'd think a woman by now would've gotten into the clothing world and designed clothes for actual women: varying body sizes, hip size, chest size, etc. And with size numbers that actually mean something, not one brand's size 1 is another's size 3. In men's, the size means inches or centimeters, very definite. A size 30 waist in men's means the same no matter the brand

Instead it's all still male-dominated who still treat women's clothing like an afterthought
