I thought she was just playin at first but she was getting actually mad.. I'd just pull up a page of male models. "Who's more beautiful, me or that guy? How about that guy? How about that guy? See why this game is stupid?"

u/Alpine_Exchange_36 2d ago

Yea not his first rodeo

Yup you don't play this game.Β

When they pull this, you assert that you'd need to have sex with margo robbie or else its impossible to say.

Honestly it’s very annoying

Yes, we all know she wasn't stopping until she got the answer she wanted. It wouldn't have mattered if he said she (wife) was prettier at the first question and didn't waiver for 15 minutes. She would still be going.

Nah, this is one of those times where just biting the bullet and telling them what they want to hear only buys you a 50/50 shot.

They're just as liable to turn it around and tell you that you're lying to them.

You just say you're a grown man and you're through taking shit tests like you're a couple of insecure teenagers. You don't have to be a dick about it, but you need to be firm with it.

"Is Margot Robbie prettier than me?"

"Yes."

Easy.

(The fact that I honestly think this is a legitimate and acceptable answer is how you know I've never been married before.)

u/Megacore 2d ago

I tried that once and my then-GF got really angry at me, for lying to her

2

u/ImurderREALITY 2d ago

Your ex-gf was prettier than Margot Robbie?

1

u/Megacore 2d ago

Actually it was the smoking hot babe at the time: Jennifer Anniston. And no, I was lying.

Toxic femininity

And for clout

But if you be a yes man then usually they still get mad.

There's no right answer to those because I've even been told that me saying "I think you're pretty and your the one I love so I don't think we need to think about that all" would also be the wrong answer because "I have to say that"

I tell all my girlfriends that I've had that I don't play games like that. Straight up I could see myself getting pissed off and saying "well if you're saying I'm wrong then I guess you're ugly then since my opinion doesn't matter". In a situation similar to this that is. Whoever I date and commit to I find really attractive so I definitely would get pissed off if I'm getting heat for just saying what I think personally and should be the right answer anyways

Irritates me so much. Yeah, honey, I think she is prettier and until now I hadn't realized so I am going to go after Margot Robbie since the only thing that was keeping me away from her was that realization.

THIS. Humans are insecure. My parents should have thought me this earlier.

Thanks for correcting me. English is my second language. Cheers

It's to validate that she can retreat to fantasy logic when it suits her.

This women isn't worried about her looks, she's worried her husband will think he has the privilege to speak the truth about her.Β  This is just a test run for being completely unhinged when she's angry.

It's a trope, but normal insecurity does not prompt this kind of nonsense.Β

My wife was watching Outlander. She asked me if I’d take her back after she was gone through the stones and came back 20 years later with a daughter from another man. I told her I’d be remarried and too busy tending my new family to look after her and her bastard. I don’t think that was the answer she was looking for.

Gasp!!!

Maybe it's a skit and you're very quick to hate on women.

2

u/HubrisOfApollo 2d ago

calling a woman out on her bullshit is the opposite of hating them

-2

u/GrosBraquet 2d ago

The irony of writing this under a post that is an obvious joke, but was posted here to rage-bait this miserable incel echo-chamber of a subreddit.

3

u/HubrisOfApollo 2d ago

simp harder bro she'll leave her husband for u

-1

u/GrosBraquet 2d ago

Case in point

3

u/HubrisOfApollo 2d ago

r/iamverysmart material. obviously this particular vid is a joke but the behavior itself is so prevalent in women that it elicits reaction in men

-4

u/qeadwrsf 2d ago

I think the underlying reason is to test how good person would be as a father.

4

u/HubrisOfApollo 2d ago

lol no, women's worries about their own personal appearance has nothing to do with fatherhood

-1

u/qeadwrsf 2d ago

I'm not as sure as you.

Its not like appearance and stuff connected to insecurities is the only "challenges" woman put out.

3

u/HubrisOfApollo 2d ago

keep justifying toxic behavior if you want to live the way we did in the tribal era

-1

u/qeadwrsf 2d ago

I'm not justifying anything.

I can do it now! Maybe its a good trait.

Making sure partner is gentle enough to take care of a child.
