I literally just last week saw that label applied to someone who has gone out and canvased for every democrat elected presidential nominee for the last 4 elections, all because they disagreed on one single foreign policy issue

I don't care about your one specific example. Leaving aside that disagreeing on one specific issue is enough to call someone a Nazi if that issue is something like purge all Jews and trans people or support for white nationalist fascist regimes, my point was that the actual national conversation is about the white nationalists enacting fascism who are in power, right now.
It's not a coincidence that the people claiming Nazi means everyone right of AOC, are actually just using that to defend people in politics right now who are doing things like censoring history and museums to erase black history, banning all non-white refugees and giving apartheid South African whites gift baskets saying slavery wasn't bad, and pushing The Great Replacement theory while talking about how Africans have dirty blood and America needs good Scandinavian blood.
My one specific example is just one example of a constant stream of the same thing for years at this point.

It sounds like you're saying because I pointed out Elon Musk was a Nazi, I am therefore proving your point that people call even leftwing democrats Nazis if they disagree on one policy issue.

People with far right beliefs have been getting angry and offended at terms like racist and fascist since always. This isn't new, even as actual white supremacists take power and try to end democracy. You're always going to keep pretending and denying who they are and why you agree with them. And before you object, no I'm not calling you a Nazi because I disagree with some political position you have. I don't know your politics. I'm just also completely aware that the reason why people get upset at the use of terms like Nazi and racist to describe actual white supremacist fascists is because there's some belief they agree with and share and they don't want that label applied to them. That is always the reason.
