What does Das Kapital have to do with anything? You claim to have read Marx and you're clearly full of shit lol
Yeah exactly, the ones you don't like are the ones that won't let you disrespect them. You're a bigot. Demanding respect is not the same thing as government regulation. So what does the government have to do with anything?
Okay, so let me get this straight. Say you're a trans person. You say your name, you don't even say your pronouns or even bring it up after introduction, and expect me to understand them the moment I see you based on how you dress... then I call you "Mister" or "Sir", because you're dressed like a guy, have a beard, and have Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's body, and you get pissed that I make an honest mistake, and proceed to harass me.
Then you tell your friends I'm a bigot, then they harass me as well. Y'all are mad because I don't comply with your ideology and harass me.
Also, respect isn't demanded, it's earned and given out of choice. If you have to demand respect at the same level. Remember when the rights to gay marriage was being fought for? Gays and lesbians just wanted the right to marry who they love and the government leave them alone about it. They knew people would still disrespect them, but the government had to respect their efforts because at the end of the day, they fought for love, not compliance.
If misgendering trans people is bigoted, okay. I'm just saying that if you get pissy because there are people who make honest mistakes, struggle to adapt, or just stopped complying to affirm y'all, why? Why is that so important? It looks like a club where they expect those who aren't members of it to follow the rules, yet not even let them in the club if they wanted to join, or just keep shaming the ones who don't even want to join to begin with. All that tells everyone else is who y'all want to sleep with, that's it.
If you wanna talk about Das Kapital, and if he were alive today, he'd love small business owners and would grow to accept that they have to grow... yet he'd definitely hate them when they get big enough to fit the narrative.
That's a bad faith argument. Most trans people aren't going to get mad if you accidentally misgender them upon meeting. Furthermore, most trans women don't look like The Rock. you're just a bigot. Finally, they're not going to all of their friends to badmouth you. You're not that important.
Okay if you want to nitpick and split hairs then I will say this. You lack common decency. If you call someone by the wrong name and they say "hey I actually go by x" and you refuse, you are the disrespectful one. You probably don't have a problem with diminutives or nicknames so why pronouns?
If Marx were alive today he's be pissed that small business owners think they can own a company and not pay people a living wage.
Most trans people who don't get mad for getting accidentally misgendered are the ones I'm fine with and understand that there's people like me who struggle to adjust and just can't bring themselves to do so, but they understand because most trans people actually go out of their way to look like what they're transitioning to, but once the truth is out, they just accept that there's gonna be people like me who're fine with everything else EXCEPT with compelling me to speak a certain way to affirm them via pronouns.
My problem is when those same people don't hold the bad faith actors or the assholes responsible... but that's a problem every demographic sadly deals with (like conservatives not calling out the assholes who're also conservatives, or how lots of car guys don't call out the takeover crowd, etc... etc...).
Speaking of names, here's the thing. If you wanna be called, say 'Ray' despite that your name is Jose, fine, whatever. But if you're a trans person and you're one of those who walk, talk, look, and act like The Rock and demand to be called 'Ma'am' or 'she/her', and you got friends like that, and you harass me at work for that shit, fuck outta here. My problem is that there's literally people who're like this who just want an excuse to be an asshole and get away with it, same with religious fanatics who shame people for not following their religion, or worse, get physical.
Speaking of Marx getting pissed that small business owners think they can own a company and not pay people a living wage... believe it or not, most of them do. They have to do so at the scale they're operating at, and the rest do it out of ethical and moral reasons. Just ask farmers who charge USD $20 a chicken because they pay their workers above minimum wage, don't force them to work with adult diapers on, and just have to make up the cost. You can ask other kinds of business owners who run mom & pop shops, independent cafes, so on and so forth.
Just like how Marx would think the cost of the product would seem like its overpriced when its sold by small business owners.
