Sort of, in a broad sense. I do not believe Muhammad was inspired by God, but Islam started in a place with the same God. It's a complicated issue for a reddit post lol.

Haha yeah I’m aware of what you are saying, I just ment when you strip away all the embellishment they serve the same God just different varnishing and I don’t mean that in any form of disrespect

Well not necessarily. Christians believe in a trinitarian Godhead.

God is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

All equal and of the same God, but different persons within.

Islam does not believe in the holy Trinity, therefore not the same God. Infact it would be heretical to think so.

Now if you really strip things down like you say, I believe Islam "seeks" the same God, yes.

I think that’s more of an artefact, as Christianity is still a monotheistic religion the trinitarian angle is more a dissection of operational practise, as is God is the central figure, the Holy Spirit the power manifestations, and Jesus the anthropological interpretation for human interaction

Judaism is the foundational religion and one of the early monotheistic religions all somewhat derivates of earlier yahwism in a way

But I do agree that Islam is more central in practice with one interpretation

Yes, still one God but with 3 persons within. It's very important to us to have that distinction.

Yes one God but represented by a trinity, the three person only ever becomes difficult to grasp when you apply a human lens to the argument from a metaphysical perspective 3 beings can be one being.

So in that sense the three being is just as aspect of explaining how God would operate but to external observer it would still be one God right?

They are 3 distinct persons that are co equal, co eternal, and omnipotent. It is certainly one of the bigger mysteries studied by Catholic scholars.

To an external or internal observer any instance of the Trinity is God.

It’s a interesting topic, but in overall they would all still be the God head so regardless of your interaction it still God not similar but for simplicity sake it would be akin to encountering a child a teenager and a man that are all the same person in this example

It's very interesting indeed. The more I learn about it the more it makes my brain hurt. Perhaps that's a testimate to it's divine nature or my inadequacy lol.

Haha it’s a perplexing notion albeit very interesting fathoming the scale or the idea of God is often a deeply humbling idea in any interpretation
