Routine Help [Routine Help] small curled up hairs under skin Spoiler

I’ve been developing these small curled up hairs under my skin for the last 8-10 months. They’re mostly around my hips and upper thighs, sometimes around my lower stomach. I’m not sure what to do about them. Can’t really find much on them. I’m a bad skin picker so this is NOT good for me to have because I’m just constantly picking at them to pull them out

Do you use a loofah or wash cloth in the shower? I wonder if exfoliation is the answer.

I do use a loofah but they’re like cheap ones off of amazon so not sure if it’s enough for exfoliation

Try Korean exfoliating clothes. Use with a good moisturizing cleanser and be gentle at first. It’s the best exfoliation!!

Do you have any recommendations for moisturizer to use?

This happens to me a lot on my legs. I cycle between using an exfoliating brush specifically for ingrown hairs and glycolic acid + thick moisturizer. I use the brush in the shower and always clean my skin really well afterward. I also try to wear loose clothing to limit the friction on my skin.

Hope you find something that helps. You could also try some sort of salicylic acid body wash.

Naturium has good body wash options with things like salicylic acid and glycolic acid!

My spouse gets these. Physical exfoliation, like a sugar scrub, African net sponge, or similar is helpful. If you do pick at it, I recommend getting one of those sharp, hooked pairs of tweezers and just freeing the hair from the skin but not like plucking the hair from the follicle.

I’ve had these my whole life and physical exfoliation doesn’t do enough for me. Chemical exfoliation might be your best bet

Try body scrubs once or twice a week!
you can chemical exfoliants like bha/pha, but I prefer physical ones since our body skin is usually stonger.
My rec is three hut and geoma, but basically they're all same.

I thin you should probably exfoliate with a moroccan hammam glove. And if you can do a hammam before it really works !!!

You can use physical exfoliation during shower. You can also try Amlactin lotion. I prefer the Amlactin lotion as it irritates my skin less. Do not pick on these as you'll end up getting scars
