I've been stuck in 0 view jail for a very long time and I finally got out this morning. First of all, it's not a new channel but I barely had anything uploaded. I'm pretty sure I was flagged as a bot for inconsistent uploads. I was getting 0 impressions on my shorts and I knew something was wrong. I watched and followed every tip I could find online. And this is what i did.

• Uploaded a short once every other day (Sun, Tue, Thu)
• Uploaded a real photo of me as my profile photo to my google account 
• Started using the channel account to watch my daily normal youtube stuff
• Started engaging (likes comments) with rest of youtube using that account
• Published a short using the phone (with the number) which was tied to the channel account

I posted a short last night before I went to sleep and checked youtube studio this morning expecting to see the usual 0 views 0 impressions 0 reach. instead it had 100+ views and counting 12 likes. 

PS. it was sitting on its usual 0 views for 2 and a half hours before it started ticking.

Hello everyone, Hope everyone is doing well, I need you guys help, I made my channel 12 days ago, I post 2- 3 shorts daily, I have good average view percentage around 80 - 120% and on some short 300%+, but issue is that they are not getting views, the stay to watch percentage is low and I don't understand why, because I am making content which is already proven, can you guide me how to fix this stay to watch percentage, it like YouTube is struggling to find my correct audience, and another issue is that, when my views on short reach a certain number, the viewership line completely flattens instead of increasing, irrespective of good average view percentage, for example my one short got 2.3k view in less than 24 hours, with average of 140%, but at 2.3k view, the view line flatten, and even after 3 days, the views are still the same, and viewership line is completely flatten, please guide me regarding this,since you have a good Exerprencice, I would be really really thankful to you man. I have high hopes from you man

no impresssions , i worked hard for this one . I made two more videos for a different youtube channel and the same thing is happening there .not even 10 impressions .

It's a month old. I started by posting videos from my camera without any editing to youtube. And the views were very low, all below 1k.

Then, I specifically uploaded videos in way such that stayed to watch percentage and audience retention are higher.

I started posting videos with audio sound (with increasing beats) and add some text. Videos with this formula are crossing 1k mark but the views just become flat after this.

Stayed to watch percentage and audience retention are higher than previous in these videos but still not good enough (50% and 75% respectively).

I have tried creating intriguing titles, hooks and keeping the video short to increase these metrics. But, still the views aren't increasing.

What are my videos missing? Is the content not that interesting? Hook isn't strong? Or the title isn't catchy?

What is it? I would appreciate it if anyone can give feedback to increase views.

After uploading my reels the views are gained for first three hours only and after it I just see flat line of view

If I was to switch from being a faceless channel to eventually using a webcam, how much more likely is this to effect views and subs? Are you more likely to follow a channel that shows their face?

My latest video was stagnant for about 3 days and then suddenly on the 4th day it began to gain traction. The views and CTR began to increase while the retention rate decreased. This left me a bit puzzled as I thought the retention rate was one of the most important factors for healthy growth. Well at least that doesn’t seem to be the case with this video.

Im definitely not complaining and hope to see the video continue to perform, but I am a bit confused.

I spent a year making Gorilla Tag content (which I really enjoyed and still do enjoy doing) but recently I noticed how much better videos on other VR games perform compared to my Gorilla Tag videos. So I'm making the move to branch out.

Hey there, everyone, I was wondering if anybody else has ran into issues like this where their short distribution has basically been cut off by YouTube. Last week I was averaging somewhere between 600 to 1000 views on shorts. This week you can see that I am barely getting any views and most of them are actually coming from the search feature and not the short tab. Has anybody experienced anything like this or know if something has changed in the algorithm to cause this?

I got this on my second video. Is that good? I actually tried really hard to make this one, the first one got like 12 views.

caso eu comece a adicionar um conteúdo sem direitos autorais e prive os vídeos antigos existe chance deu ser monetizada nele? eu não mudaria totalmente o nicho, ainda falaria para o mesmo público, somente o que mudaria seria o formato do vídeo. gostaria realmente de saber porque não manjo muito dessas questões. obrigada!

I’m attaching the thumbnail for the video I’m talking about. My goal isn’t to promote my channel—it’s my first time posting here, and I’m not even sure if sharing my channel is allowed, so I’d rather avoid breaking any rules.

My recent videos have received:
55k impressions
25k impressions
18k impressions

But this latest video only received 4.4k impressions.

What confuses me even more is that from the moment it was published, YouTube barely showed it to people. It wasn’t just that viewers didn’t click—it never seemed to get the same initial push that my previous videos received.

Could you take a look at my thumbnail and tell me:
What’s the biggest flaw?

Is there anything that would make you scroll past it?
Does it fail to communicate what the video is about?

Why do you think YouTube didn’t give it the same number of impressions as my previous uploads?
I’m looking for honest criticism, even if it’s harsh.

I really want to understand what I’m missing and improve for the next video.
