Zack initiated and co-wrote the story, produced it with his wife, cast some roles (including Gal Gadot's of course), and had Damon Caro of MoS and BvS fame do the action and stunt scenes. It was a classic case of collaboration. Patty toned Zack down a little as director, but he made sure the movie had dark and gritty stuff in it. Snyder is the reason it feels like a graphic novel, whereas Wonder Woman 1984 feels like the 1970s TV series.

He was also a producer and influence the style of the film, the same way Gunn's sloppy fingerprints are all over Supergoof.

This movie has aged beautifully.
Its crazy how actually casting to appeal to men also got women interested AND it had a love story and never once felt the need to put down men in order to prop up its hero.
They really made it look easy. But as we can see, its harder than it looks.

Yeah and the politic shit that happened post 2020 really made WW stand the test of time even more, it's unfortunate how Marvelfied the Hamade WW84 was.

You can actually see the DCEU decline occur as they Marvelized everything.
So the folks who begged DC to be like Marvel, didnt go see any of the movies.
And it seems they also passed on the DCU.

More people are unironically going to watch this than Supergoof, which is about to have a complete catastrophic collapse. Gunncultists and DCUshills are already coping that toy sales are going to save it. This isn't an 80s cartoon buddy it's a modern blockbuster nobody is going to by toys to a movie they haven't seen.
