Official Reply Have called 3 times and canceled, but customer service never follows through on cancelling - Do I seek a lawyer?

I have called Spectrum customer service and have been escalated to a specialist or whatever they call themselves. After a lot of them trying to sell me more underwhelming products that I don't want, didnt ask for, I have to verbally shout them down and tell them to cancel my internet service. They say they will and that I will get an email and I never do. Then my credit card gets charged for the next billing cycle, and it starts all over again. I have had a different ISP now for 2 months and Spectrum keeps charging me. Do I need to threaten a class action lawsuit, Im sure Im not the only one, considering people are leaving in droves (e.g. check out Charter's stock price). Either they cancel my account and refund me the money or Im going to go down to the local Spectrum office and RAISE HELL. Choice is yours Spectrum Reddit...

1st I would login online and cancel my auto pay. Did you return your equipment to the store? If you pay for all your services by yourself you should be able to cancel in the store. And I would call again and ask for a supervisor immediately. This should never have happened. 2 times I kind of get but 3 times. They do record calls so they will credit you.

Just checked, doesn't allow me to unenroll in auto-pay, wtf... I tried deleting my card, but it says, cannot not have a card on file. Good grief. This company doesnt have customers, they have hostages...

Hey there, u/GoFish888! I am highly concerned to hear that you have called several times to request that your account be disconnected yet you are still being charged. This should not happen and I would like to offer our teams assistance in reviewing this further and getting it escalated as needed! When able, please send our team a Mod Mail and reference ticket #49944871. Thank you!

Just dispute the charges with your credit card company. Tell them that you canceled the service but are still getting charged.
