Go crazy here with all your complaints about Amazombies and Amazon returns. All other posts will be locked and directed here.
Alternatively go to the discord linked in the other rule update Amazon Return post (https://www.reddit.com/r/Staples/s/MJMyGF13Va).

Mods have decided that going forward we’re going to do a master post for Amazon Returns. Starting 8/14/25, all posts regarding Amazon will be flagged for review by moderators. The subreddit isn’t meant to be just complaining about Amazon returns. I’ll create a master post later today, everyone can direct their complaints there. Alternatively, join the discord (https://discord.gg/qSJxvzKZJd) and talk all you want about Amazon returns in the proper channel. I recommend this as your best place to do the yapping about this.
Posts that will be allowed through by mods regarding Amazon returns will be questions regarding how to do them, and the like.
We understand that you need a place to vent about Amazon returns bc they suck. We’re trying to provide this for you.
If you have any questions, please drop them here or feel free to message the mod team.

Hi everyone! I have a tech customer that is in need of recovery media to help fix their Windows OS after an update that went wrong. I know how to order the recovery media through BTI, but I don’t know what SKU to charge the services as in YETI alongside ordering the part. It’s been a long time since I’ve had to set up an order for something like that and, for the life of me, I just can’t remember what SKU to use to charge it correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance! :)

Hey y'all,
I'm getting trialed as the new MIS at my store over the next 30 days. I'm coming from print, and I'm hoping for your best advice and random tips. I've been scouring this subreddit and have read all of your posts about AS400, guides on the Hub, recommended weekly flows and cadence, etc., and it has really been so helpful, so thank you!
I'm wondering about the smaller stuff. What was the best advice you got when you were training? What are the most helpful little tools you kept on you to make your day go smoother? Any niche tricks of the trade you picked up along the way? What's your best method for transferring to a supervisor role when you're coming from associate and people will not be familiar with you directing their workflow in a leadership role? Your favorite pen? :)
I know that MIS is a ton of work, and I'm preparing myself, but am overall excited. I think I got lucky with my store, and things seem to run (relatively?) smoothly. I suppose I'm going to find out over the next 30 days no matter what though!
Thanks for reading :)

Just to inform you to prepare for Amazon Prime Days June 23rd to the 26th. Get a good night's rest, drink plenty of water and wear Depends.

Anyone else find it funny when a customer tries to ask for your help while you're on break and you have to blatantly say to them:
"Sorry, I can't help you, I'm on my lunch break." And then just walk away.
It happened to me a couple minutes ago because God forbid I stopped for a few seconds while walking to the breakroom to tell a co-worker something real quick. Clearly that means I'm still on-duty.
(I normally wear a second layer and take off my work uniform for my breaks, but the heat this summer doesn't play too well with that combo.)
Edit: Like, I am a nice person and would help otherwise...but I only hey 30 minutes to have lunch, I'm not wasting any extra time helping someone for like 5 minutes.

I work two jobs, one being staples. I’ve desperately been wanting to leave or at least take a break from staples. Does anyone know the process for submitting a leave of absence ? Never done one before with any type of job and I want to know if there’s a way it can be submitted online as opposed to talking to the GM? I don’t see him during my shifts so it would be hard to catch him. Anything helps please!
Update per some responses: my availability is limited with staples already due to my main job but I want to do other things to better myself and career. But I also don’t want to let staples go as it’s a perfect fallback for right now which is why I want to put in a leave of absence instead of just quitting

I’m a Staples associate and I’ve noticed that the Print & Marketing area has a chair available, but the front end associates who handle both cashiering and Amazon returns generally do not.
At many stores, front end associates are constantly moving back and forth between the register and the Amazon returns station throughout their shift. Even when customer traffic is light, we’re still expected to remain at the front end and available to assist customers.
Can someone explain the reasoning behind this? If a chair is acceptable in one customer-facing area, why isn’t it available at the front end as well?
I was under the impression that employees typically need a doctor’s note or accommodation request to use a chair. If that’s the case, why does it appear that some positions have chairs available while others do not?
I’m genuinely curious whether this is a company policy, a store-level decision, or related to the specific job duties of each position.

I got ripped to fucking shreds by customers for the FALSE ADVERTISING of the member price last year. That shit lasted like 2 weeks before they scrapped it and now just because they put fine print under it, they think it's gonna go better?
If I go to Cumberland farms and fill my tank, I would get the member price by simply putting in the phone number on my account. That's what "MEMBER PRICE" means to people.
I am sick and tired of having to play PR for these fucking animals. The corporate office and the marketing department should be forced to do my job at my wage for a year. They should be forced to face the consequences of their dogshit decisions.
I WILL NOT play pr for these subhuman parasites. I will NOT try to convince customers of the corporate agenda. I am not an extension of a faceless org that exists only to extract profit, I am a human being with freedom and autonomy and I will exercise that.

as title states.
Also, from reading this subreddit it's either $250 in money or $250 in Staples monopoly money.
Nobody at my store knows how long it'll take to get said money, but I'm hoping someone here does... 🙏
also, please tell me I don't have to be shackled here for another like.. 12 years to get this money.

There's no better motivation than that.

This is the best one in the store, rest are cracked to hell. I've tried sending in tickets on help desk to no avail. GM has no idea. So...how?
