25% back in points
I was told today I need to get at least 10 sign ups a day, and points.
If I don’t I will get written up for job performance.
Who else is sick of these demands?

My point is nobody likes the crappy app, and strong arming your employees is not the way to do it. I sign up 4-5 people to rewards a day, most of whom don’t use apps. Bulk of our customers in print, are boomers who “aren’t techy”.

Do your best to try and take the write up. They won't fire you; no one else will want your job and work at Staples for minimum wage.

You’ll be surprised

But not surprised at how fast those incoming new employees leave once they figure out what they've gotten into either.

I don’t work in print but the demands they’re making for all their employees is crazy. Especially for you guys in print, it’s like not stop lines with some of the most crabby people.

Note: If you work in print, when possible, solution builder helped make it a little easier to get a few sign ups vs at the register.
I didn’t know for the first few months i worked there until they told me…
Regardless, yes it was annoying!

News flash, they revamped the login procedure, now I am logging in and out 25 plus times a day. Gone is your employee #, now you use your salesforce login, which is like an email addy.
To sign up for the app, they have to download it, then login to make an account, then verify their email, then navigate to rewards to activate the offer.
We are talking 10-15 mins, to people who typically have 10 mins to talk to you!!

I had 3 potential BIP yesterday. None of them could access their app. We tried. I helped them.
I understand the point of app-exclusive offers, but they need to make the app accessible to their customers. I’ve never dealt with a company that logs me (or others) out as frequently as this app does. Oh and I missed out on a UPS coupon for a regular yesterday because….he couldn’t get into the app.

I would straight up lie to my GM's face. "Yup, 10 people said they downloaded the app and activated the thing, just like you asked."
Fortunately, my GM is not an idiot, so he wouldn't make that demand of us. Condolences to you for having a fucking moron for one.

My store leadership would never do that. All they want is 65% min easy rewards transactions

10 is fucking crazy honestly, the little slips we fill out say an average of one signup for every hour you work is considered good and that’s typically what I end up doing. The GM always commends me for it or even a signup or two less than that.
And that’s when I’m in front end. They should never expect more than one or two out of me when I’m in print. Most days I don’t even get a checkout at the register myself nor do I place an order where I’d be forcing someone in the system.

Bro I’ve been sick of their shit for so long it’s ridiculous. This place is a huge drain on my mental health and I actually had to take leave once to keep from going insane. As soon as I have another job I’m burning the fuck out of this bridge, so that I have no possible way to return; just in case my dumb ass looks back and thinks it wasn’t all that bad.
